Snake is in because Kojima himself begged Sakurai to put Snake in Melee. Sonic is in because he's the most popular 3rd party suggestion after Snake.
I seriously doubt we will see any more non-Nintendo fighters.

I wonder when the updates will actually stop. I doubt they'll still be giving updates the night before release or the night before that.
Who knows..............the updates may cease to exist as much as a month before release.
Whether all of the updates have been planned in advance or they come up with them on the spot would have something to do with the end date as well I'd assume as it were per that say such as.

There's easily 56 days worth of crap that could be allotted throughout the weeks prior to the release. Besides, Sakurai said that he'd do just that.
