i've done the turnip anomaly before, and it doesn't turn black if you continue to add turnips, the game just freezes XD
how to do the glitch:
first, get designated super scope shooter (preferably Ness, just so you can make the anomaly bigger later) and fox on the same team.
Then, have someone pick either fox or falco (preferably falco), and then the last person should pick peach. these other two should be on different teams, so it should be like this; Ness and Fox on their own team, then Falco/other Fox and Peach on their own teams. set the item drop to nothing but Super Scopes, then pick Hyrule Temple. wait for a Super Scope to drop, then perform the Super Scope unlimited ammo glitch (have the scope shooter, which should be Ness, shoot 2 fully charged shots, 3 slightly charged shots, then 6 rapid shots. after you do that, have Ness charge for one last shot. as he does, slap him, and then whoever is ness should grab the gun as it falls back down. the Scope should now have unlimited ammo. then, have Fox and Falco stand on either side of the pit like in the video, and have Ness shoot through fox towards falco, then falco should bounce the lazers back towards fox, then fox should activate his reflectors; that way, the lazers just go back and forth. then, peach should get below the bullets and jump in the beam torrent every now and then until they turn into an almost -solid green energy stream that slows the game down quite a bit. once this is done, peach should through 15 turnips - no more, no less - up into the stream at the same point. then, have Ness shoot a few PK Fires at the turnips to create a cool green flaming ball effect. Serve hot with plenty of glitching

That's a little too much for me and considering the fact that I don't have 3 other people to play with makes it pretty much impossible for me to do anyway.
