I briefly tried to figure out tripping, but... their reaction there is horrendous. Please don't tell me I have to hate the Smash Bros. fandom now, I'll never touch online if that's the case...

He reminded more of... well... Ridley, as he is in the Side-Screen scrolling metroids. Charizard, however has most of Bowser's moves. The fire breath, clawing... etc. etc.
Charizard is comparable to Bowser, yes, but Ridley is more-so.
But I digress. This ain't exactly the thread topic, so enough about that.

Ill post my code later when i get home, so i can play youz guyz
I'll really need to get used to not wavedashing, L-cancelling, etc. since it was all taken out of Brawl for the most part. It pretty much became a 2nd nature to me in Melee too. 😖

Nah. It's just that most people over there at smashboards have the intelligence of a house fly, and not just when it comes to things like figuring out how to trip. 😛 Don't let their autism make you hate Smash Bros fandom as a whole.Err... Ridley has those moves too (in the 3-D games at least, including Brawl where he's also featured as a boss. It's just that SSBB doesn't show off his fire breathing, claw swipes, etc. as much as the other games).
Another reason he's more comparable to Bowser than Charizard is because like Bowser, he's one of those villains that just keeps coming back.Charizard is comparable to Bowser, yes, but Ridley is more-so.

Heh. Good luck then.

What's the meaning of all this 'tripping'?
well basically, in the trip animation you're immune.. and then it goes into a 'down' status (sitting or laying down), which you can then yet again do another immune status move such as an AoE recovery attack and such... their goal is to cause a trip to occur purposefully so that they will be granted that immunity.. though its not likely to happen with such low proc rates

Probably half of the smash community's reaction in regards to 'figuring out' tripping is : *facepalm* or even *double-facepalm* while others are like "who cares?"... theres even people who say "ew tripping!? I'm going back to Melee, kthxbai"
.. but in the end they will be thankful when someone gets some solid numbers down, me thinks.. ✅
still theres no reason for any of this to kill online for you.. as theres (fortunately) no way to text or voice chat.. 😎

So tripping is going to be new "hip technique" in the smash bros universe? Wonderfulllllll.Anyways, i'm looking forward to fighting you all online. I wonder if we can set up some tournament between the KMC brawlers.

that should help..
It was a lot better experience playing a Friend match last night compared to a random match. There was a slight hint of lag, but no super slow mo crap like random battles, and there was no disconnections. Granted that was only with 2 players, but still.
It was cool to play stock rather than 2 minute matches, I always think stock is more intense and strategic than timed matches.

Compared to the lot of the other online denizens, you got me at least once.
Hey Mairazu, post up your friend code so we can all brawl.

Dude I thought the exact same thing. How much strategy can there be in a two minute match? It's just smash attack after smash attack. Almost pointless. Friend matches and stock is much better and alot more fun.
