From what I could tell, that attack was coming from Pikachu, not Samus (though ironically enough, it looks very identical to Mewtwo's Shadow Ball from SSBM)... Or were you referring to a different part of the trailer?

Pikachu's body seems to disappear right after launching the attack. 0_o

Doesn't the Pokemon series have some "Lightning Ball" attack now? Because that's what that looks like. I think Pikachu's inside it. Seems to be an upgrade of its old Quick Attack.

or maybe is pikachus new up+B attack, in SSBM he did that zap thing to get back on stage, mayvbe that is the new one

Like it or not, that blue ball of electricity is Pikachu's final smash attack: volt tackle. Just check the website...

Ya it is and Bowser can change in to giga Bowser... witch i think is sweet.
and Mario can shoot a big fire blast. witch i think cool to. and link cuts u up with his tryforse slash. sweet...

looks alot cooler in the pictures than in the gameplay footage

ya the "Purple Fire" Is the new flamethrower. but it may not be flame it may be plasma or somthing like that... but who knows it coud be a ice blast but "I" think its plasma.

nah, looks like phazon..isnt that stuff ment to be purple?

Phazon is actually bright blue or a reddish-orange. No purple to be had.
