Hmm, I thought the game was excellent straight from the start.
But you are right. The game should of ended when it ended. The apt's are cool but it get's boring.
The problem is that the gameplay doesn't change throughout the game so when the story stops compelling you go forward, it's tiring pretty quickly.
But it's a very long game for a shooter so it's not totally bad.

I actually switched to using the crossbow almost exclusively.. one hit kills and there's an upgrade that lets you reuse the bolts a good percentage of the time.. so I ended up with a full wallet and full ammo of everything.
But yeah, one of my favorite games of all-time. The sense of atmosphere is basically unmatched.
