I just finished watching sky captain.

Whoa .

The film was just..awesome. It seemed to combine every pulp fiction comic and newspaper serial ever made into one fantastic film. It also has several nods to other comics and films as well (Shield Heli-Carrier anyone ! )

I really liked the special effects in the movie.

It (Like sin city) Was filmed on an entirely green screen backdrop.

That technique gives the film a unique "feel". It's better than a cheesy set IMO.

Indefinitely , and it also makes it difficult to notice when the Director is using CGI . Which is always a good thing.
