A little too FFX for my liking but the choregraphy and music is pretty good.
M'kay I just watched a few episodes of S:TAS and was quite surprised at what I saw.
Now I speak specifically of the episode 'Double Dose'. It hides under the simple pre-tense of Livewire (Original female villain , your basic electricity controller) and The Parasite joining forces to kill Superman.
It is infact full of pretty obvious and kinda heavy sexual metaphors which is kinda disturbing in whats supposed to be a kids cartoon.
But where to begin...
1. Livewire escapes her cell by feigning that she's 'lonely' and needs some 'company'. She get's the schmuck of a janitor to give her his headphones to re-charge from. Lonely...yeah riiiiiiiiiiight.
2. She pops into parasites room and seems to be on a first name basis with parasite. She say's that she knows how it is to 'locked away in a cell , no one to talk to , no one to touch' . He is blatantly staring at her ass throughout her little speech.
3. She then says if they kill Superman then he can have a 'little taste' (the camera pans up on her as she thrusts her chest out while placing her arms behind her head) she then clarifies she meant her power (but we all know what she REALLY meant).
4. They leave Parasites cell and walk down the hall passing the incarcerated 'norms'. They wolf whistle and stare as she literally struts down the walkway before declaring if 'They want to make sparks fly'. She fries them all and then says she keeps 'going and going and going' (Goddamit it's not even subtle anymore !
5. Later on she refers Parasite as a 'Purple people eater' , sounds verrrrry similar to a certain metaphor....
6. A 'look but don't touch' warning is given later when Parasite tries to grab Livewire. He advances on her after saying he knows 'how to control his pwoers' she then gives off a warning jolt while saying 'No , means No' ( Rape ? )
7. Superman approaches the two wearing a full body rubber-wrap. Livewire screams 'he's wearing protection' . Again it's a pretty obvious metaphor.
8. Finally she makes a quip about it's useless (the rubber wrap) when it's seal is broken. (Another condom reference).
All in all I found it a little weird but hilarious.
