I cracked out my copy of SNK versus Capcom this morning (it's the second time i ever played it... i was hoping to swap it in for SC3)
I soon realised why I'm not a fan of Capcom fighting games ...stupid ****ing controls.
"Ooh let's have three separate buttons for punch and to do a single move you need to break every bone in your hand trying to correspond with the stupid amount of button controls (which by the way , they skimped out on in the f*cking manual....) "

I like SNK vs Capcom. If you don't like the button controls don't worry about it. 😛 Odds are it's not even pure SF controls you're using there anyway.
Street Fighter 3 Third Strike is by far the best SF game in existance. Play that if you want to see why there are SF fans.
Play Garou Mark of the Wolves if you want to see why SNK has fans.
I can understand if you don't like the controls but personally I find Psychic Force to be too simplistic. It's fun but it's simple.

Yes and no.
On an average it's easier to get used to the controls but sometimes the bosses are harder.
Here's a little trick for you. Set you strongest attacks to easier to reach buttons. That way you aren't breaking your hands to pull off powerful attacks. On a Playstation controller set it to X and O. It's just easier to pull off good special moves that way. Combos aren't always better. Sometimes one or two Strong hits used in succession is better than attempting to set your opponent up for a combo. In fact try ignoring combos at first.

Ahhh , here we have the problem...i'm playing it on GC , What is Darkstalkers for anyway ?
I'm also considering DL Mugen ..... because if you can assign the buttons then i'm set.

See, that is a problem. You won't find Darkstalkers for GC. You should be able to find it on regular Playstation easy enough.
Set your strong attacks to X and A on the GC controller.
I'm a Capcom fan but I'm a Nintendo fan first.

Haven't tried Mugen but am looking into it.

Well.......I'm unsure , earlier this year I said to my friends i wasn't going to cash into the '6th generation console craze' and that I was going to wait a good while before picking up any new console.
I was originally disgusted by the new controller , thinking that the guy's up in Ninty HQ were on crack .... but the games are starting to outweigh my opinion on how much the controller suck's.
Although they better supply most of the 'Add on's ' in the initial package or this shall be the greatest rip-off nintendo would have pulled since FF:CC .

The controller both scared me and excited me at first. Now I'm just excited about it.
I'm excited period about the Wii. Nintendo is definately on top of the technology game. They're jumping ahead of everybody. Sure they could have made a system like the PS3 and the Xbox 360 with similar power and controls but they wanted to expand their audience. I think it's the right approach.
Pros
1. The Wii will be significantly cheaper and the games promise to be just as cheap.
2. It allows downloads of most (any?) games from the N64, Snes, Nes and some Sega Genesis games.
3. 24 hour online service, whether or not the system is on. Haven't heard if that's going to cost extra or what. It's still impressive that the system is receiving from the internet even when it's not on.
4. Controller options. I've been looking at it and everything the remote doesn't have, the nunchuks do. And there are other types of controllers coming out.
5. Games. Not only my classic faves in the Nintendo variety but also some more interesting titles. I can't wait to see what Capcom will bring to it.

I'm going to wait for the PS3 to drop in price. I want to make sure it's worth my time. (which I'm certain it will be) The Xbox 360 however is choking bad. They had an okay start but now they're suffering because of a lack of good games. If they wait too long to come out with top knotch games then they will miss out completely on the holiday rush.
