Is there a genre of music that you recently got into?

Is there a genre of music that you recently got into, but a year ago you would never give it a listen?

A few days ago one of my employees really got me into contemporary Tamil music (southern India). He brought a CD to work one day and popped it in, and before I knew it, I was subconciously bobbing my head to the sounds, and then I suddenly realized "I have no idea what this is, but it's not bad!'. And now I'm genuinely interested in it.

Anything like this happen to you in recent days/weeks?

I guess the most recent "new" kind of music I have gotten into would be sca(mostly Irish) just because its new and kicks some major ass....

I recently got into funk. Funkadelic, Bootsy Collins, Parliament, all that spaced out 70's George Clinton music.

I recently got into blink 182. I realise their lyrics are sheizer but they have catchy tunes and their singer tom de long for some reason interests me. I now like Angels and Airwaves. However I would have liked them anyway.

Nice one, Bootsy Collins is awesome. Clinton is a legend, he played here in NZ a few months back. I have never seen so many musicians on a stage before.

I can't really say there's any one genre I've gotten majorly into recently, personally. One of my friends is trying to get me more into D&B though 😛

I wouldn't call it musical ignorance. Hip Hop is not music. Hip Hop is about having music videos with semi nude girls dancing around an untalented 'musician'.

I really disagree. I am not ignorant towards music. I can listen to anything else, it is just rap and Hip Hop which really disagree with me.
