Comics vs Reality

What characters in books may look cool, but would look ridiculous in reality?? And for the inverse, which ones would look awe inspiring.

My first two bets is Superman and Wonder Woman...

In Comics Superman looks regal and majestic, at least imo.
In comics, Wonder Woman looks like a queen, but in real life, these two would lose the icon factor fast.

Superman looks like a douche imo, in all his real life costumes. Superman, Lois and Clark, Superman Returns. If he was a real person, villains would be too busy laughing to take him seriously.

Wonder Woman looks like she's wearing a bathing suit. Yep. A bathing suit. All her foes would do is pull her top down and one punch her when she screams and goes to yank it back up. Whorish is the translation to reality.

Thor would look really bad too. As would Sentry, Magneto, and most of Marvel and DC. Don't even get me started on Hulk. PowerGirl would have a complex walking around looking like that.

Wonder man looks like a hack wrestler.

I think that Green Lantern, Silver Surfer, Firelord, and Stardust would look really beautiful in reality. They all have that glow factor going for them. The Martian Manhunter might look better too. Cap Atom would look nice as well.

Post yall thoughts...Who else would fail in the transition, and who would ace it??

Ult cap would look good, real cap though would be ridiculed.

hulk and cap america wouldn't look that bad. WW does look like a whore tho. supes would just look straight fagish

The Question, Sandman (Wesley Dodds), and Rorschach all have costumes that would look good in real life.

blade would get made fun of, and the Matrix jokes would never end.

I always liked the mysterious element about the sandman ...he's kickass.

Translated into real life, no superguy I can think of off-hand is gonna look cool in tights/spandex. The X-men movies wisely realized this.

Hulk and Sub-Mariner would probably look the best cuz what they wear are not "costumes," per se.

Silver Surfer...special case. He would look truly unearthly, perhaps even more divine than cosmic. And it would be interesting to see a man really silvery--with all those shifting reflections--rather than the "shiny white" appearance he tends to have in comics.

Wonder Woman: cool character trapped by her time of origin (1941?). That name and costume are just plain silly (IMO).

Silver Surfer would look beautiful in real life for sure

Your right about surfer , he once flew to new pantheon (or whatever it's called) to stop trauma's father from killing the hulk . He paused for a second to get his bearings and Jailbat said 'Whoa it's god !! "

Most of the FF's costumes would look stupid.

Wolverine in real-life with his yellow and blue spandex would look horrible.

I'm leaning towards WW looking ridiculous along with Apocalypse and Supes. Mr Sinister maybe.

The best is definitely Emma Frost, maybe Angel.
