One of my favorite board tricks is the "Cosmic Bomb", which happened during a 90s X-Men annual. Surfer charged the board with the power cosmic, then sent it to deliver a colossal explosion in an alien lifeform.

Surfer has been shown levitating without the use of his board. He was asleep at the time, and happened to be simultaneously levitating the house in which he was sleeping!
