Agreed lol. Couldint have put it any better myself.
1. I don't think he expected anything really.
2. While he followed him, Martin made the situation significantly worse by pulling a Zimmerman and going after him, then beating his ass. Nothing indicates Zimmerman started a fight, he was just doing his neighborhood watch duties with a small dose of Batman. You're being presumptuous with pretty much everything else.
Agreed. Zimmerman was just trying to make sure everything was okay and performing his duites. Then Martin took it to a WHOLE New level by attacking Zimmerman.
Or we could look at Texas, which has earnestly talked about secession, has five women's healthcare facilities for the entire state, and influences textbook companies enough that they have to include chapters on (un)Intelligent Design. Texas is kind of a hellhole, is what I'm saying.
Florida hasn't been able to successfully hold a presidential election for the entirety of my political life. Also kind of a hellhole.
(Both of us can list places where the opposite platform to our ideologies are put into practice, but maybe go easy with the r-word?)

1.Texas is doing quite well, actually its economy is doing far better then California(thanks to cutting taxes, lowering spending, and free markets).
California has the most dangerous cities Oakland/L.A for example.
2.What?. Flordia is the decending factor in most elections..
3.And sure.
Also I don't think you know what "retarded" means.

Well lets look at Texas. It has 5 of the best places to work and live in the country in no fewer than 3 magazines. It has the highest standard of living in the country as well as the richest state in the country. It could secede (hypothetically) and still thrive. So you can call one state backwards to some extent yet successful in every financial way, and you can call the other state retarded, which also happens to be the most bankrupt state in the country. At least retardation is consistent.
lol
California has the largest economy in America.
Texas (and Florida) have the second and third highest levels of gun crime in America, behind California, despite having nearly three times less population density than California (in Texas' case).
So California has a larger economy and job market than Florida and Texas, and is only marginally more dangerous than either.
Hm.

The wiki says the same thing:
In 2008, when measured as a percentage of GDP, California had the 6th highest tax burden of the fifty states and has contributed on average well over 3.65 billion dollars per year for the last twenty years into the federal treasury than it has received in Federal services in return.
California is the 12th largest economy in the world as of 2012 (ibid.).
Texas would be the 14th (also as of 2012)
DS, your bias is showing.
Property values are a sign of scarcity. The higher the property value, the more people want to live there. Lower property values means there's less demand to live there.
California's economy shits on Texas's, as I've already pointed out.
Texas has the second highest level of crime in the entire country, right behind California. Yet, Texas also has a lower population than California and has less population density- if you "adjusted for inflation", Texas' crime level would be on par with California's.
If by "more freedoms" you mean "more freedom to shoot yer guns around" and "spit on minorities" then, true. Otherwise no. In California I have the freedom to walk around with a white woman and no one will care. In Texas I do not, because Texas is filled with racist, redneck assholes.
Are there any other stupid things you'd like to say for me to shit on before I go to sleep? You have 37 minutes.

No. Texas and California are close in size and Texas has lower property values because its cheaper and better to live there. California is a rats hole with thousands squarming to live in small crowded areas overcrowded by gangs and drug lords. Thats why politicans in california are trying to make it more and more like Texas and why people are leaving cal for Texas. Because Texas has the right idea. Its the richest state in the union for a reason.

Wrong
California is shit because of high ass taxes which are destroying the economy. Texas is far better because there is no income tax.
Low taxes=better economy
High taxes=worse economy
and oh yeah California is one of the least business friendly states in the union(2nd least to be exact). Which is why its such a peace of crap.
Theres a reason everyone is moving to Texas. Because it has the better economic model. Low taxes and free markets are what make a economy great, NOT high taxes and regulations.

Texas is far safer lol. California has the most dangerous cities in america and is full of punks, hippies, gang members, drug lords, anti-americans, and racist idiots.

And it had better be cheaper to live there--Texans are worth $12,000 less per capita than Californians, despite having considerably less people to divide GDP by, and despite having considerably more territory from which to draw resources and revenue. And despite having a government that spends over double the amount of Texas'--despite that expenditure, Californians are still wealthier.
Texas does have a 2.9% lower unemployment rate than California's 9%, so that's a plus. But it also has a 15.8% poverty rate to California's 9.5, so there's that awful fact. Texas is also .07 points higher on the Gini index (and the higher the number, the more inequality there is). Makes sense that housing is cheaper in Texas, I guess--the state is worth less and it's people have less---despite the lower unemployment! That says something about the quality of the jobs.
Cali's also healthier. Texans having been kicking Californian ass when it comes to obesity--Texas is the 15th fattest state, Cali's 41st.
As for crime, well... according to the U.S. Census Bureau, Texas f*cking rocks at committing crimes. Per 100,000 people, more are raped, assaulted, burglarized, and found guilty of larceny in Texas. Only robberies and motor thefts are higher in Cali. Murder is tied at 5.4. And keep in mind that Texas has 12 million less people and is approaching three times less dense per sq mi! ("adjust for [population] inflation" to match California, like Blax said, and all of Texas' crime stats rise). And it still manages to outdo Cali (which again, has 150% the pop.) in the most serious of violent and property crimes.
If you want to make a case for why Texas is superior to California, you go ahead. I'd be interested in what you have to say, barring your impassioned, ideologically-biased hate-rant. But if you're gonna cite statistics like property values and crime... they're not in Texas' favor. Unless you value poverty, less money per capita, high property taxes, high crime, poor health and greater inequality in general. Maybe you could make a case that a more sparsely populated state is inherently superior---cuz I'm all for that 100%. Alaska takes that cake, and that's where you're from, ain't it?

Btw I'm obviously lumping in everyone from California but if guys like RH and LL are from California, then to me they're the exception to the rules. From all of our conversations over the years, I wouldn't have ever guessed. I've known plenty of people from California though where I could tell they were from there just by judging their ability to reason and the level of brainwashing they've received.

No, everybody's moving to Texas because of the vast number of jobs and standard of living. Gotta love that oil. And while I'll concede the property tax issue, we have no state income tax while California does. Please prove this. Unless of course you're looking at Hollywood and saying "people in california are richer!"
I'm not sure where you're getting your numbers here but you'll need to post links. Also, the cost of living in california is 42% higher than Texas. So when you say the people have less (very debatable), yet their stuff costs exponentially less than california when compared to the average salary in california, the quality of life in Texas is better.
Eh, we have no beaches.
Looking at the overall 2012 stats, yes Texas has more crime. You can't win them all.
I'd be interested in seeing a logical, emotionless argument for California over Texas, which is unlikely since I don't think someone from California can have an argument without an emotional rant. For instance, I stated facts about the Zimmerman cause and in your typical california fashion, you screamed "bigotry". According to virtually every report out there, 5 of the top 10 wealthiest or best economy, or standard of living cities, come from Texas. The state is vastly superior to California in economical terms. California is vastly superior to Texas in bankruptcy.
No personal income tax (though still an 8.2% sales tax, which isn't too high), and lower cost of living are good reasons. Texas also has much lower debt than California (obviously, I think everyone does).
Again, those advantages are tempered by the fact that poverty in Texas is something of a problem. Specifically a 16.2% problem. Cost of living in Texas is 2nd in America 👆, and over 1 in 6 people in the state need it to be 👇. And according to United Health Foundations, Texas ranks overall 40th to California's 22nd. Obesity is ranked 40:5, smoking is 14:2, diabetes 33:17. Being ranked 30th to Cali's 3rd in life expectancy is also a bit of a downer. (Go Hawaii, at #1)
By the way, that USA Today article you posted for Zamp listed California right along with Texas as one of the "fastest growing economies." It also states: In some cases, explained Bernstein, population growth is the result of immigration. "You're going to find border states with heavy immigrant presence generating faster population growth." This was the case in states like Texas.
Like I said.
The article also states: The GDP of Texas, already the nation's second largest state economy behind California...
If you value low cost of living, (relatively) low state debt, no personal income tax, and lots of oil once Keystone XL gets the go ahead from that Kenyan liberal hippie in the Oval Office, then Texas makes sense. But for me, not living in poverty, not living in one of the worst states for healthcare, not living in a proportionally more criminally-minded state is more important, liberals-be-damned. Though I'd never let ideology obstruct my quality of life. That said I also prefer socially liberal policies, so I'd be picking California over Texas in that regard.
And as an ad hominem-tastic aside, I did not "scream bigotry" in response to your Zimmerman facts. I didn't respond to your Zimmerman facts at all. I made a glib remark in response to Blax (who was responding to ROTJ Vader--everyone's not thinking of you all the time, you know), to which YOU replied with:

First off, California is the nutjob state, if not the official retarded state of the country. Secondly, Zimmerman was getting his head bashed into the concrete but don't let that little fact get in the way of your emotional outburst.
Do you know what the phrases "flying off the handle" and "putting words in my mouth" mean? And when I "screamed bigotry" it was in response to this little gem from YOU:

Yeah. Bigotry's the right word for you, though I also don't think you know what "scream" means. That you've lived in Texas most of your life, as you say, could you perhaps even consider that you have a preconditioned bias for your state and its ideologies? Also I don't know what you mean by "in [my] typical California fashion."
Since I'm Canadian. You live about three times closer to the hippies than I do.
