The Battle Bar, Our Wretched Hive of Scum and Villainy

Oh Dark Souls 2, how I can't wait to be done with you.

I never beat the first one, although I'd like to someday.

I'm playing Bioshock 2. Its pretty good now that I've rigged it to stop crashing every 10 minutes. Drill Dash makes me hard.

Dark Souls 2 makes me miss some things from the first one. Like the lack of health decrease on dying. Or the 'nice' bosses.

No, it's wonderful. Go die in a fire. Or... freeze, or something. I should have made an ice pun.

I loved that game. Played part of Burial at Sea II last night which is effin' amazing.

They made it harder?

Ahnold: Freeze in hell, Batmahn.

Oh yes. Every time you die, not only do you lose your human status, but your max HP starts to decrease, all the way down to 50% if you don't have a certain ring, even with, to 75%.

Oh, and you only start with 1 Estus flask, until you find shards to increase the uses by 1 at a time. But you do get these things called Lifegems.

It's bloody evil.

This game sounds wonderful, I might have to play it.

It takes the 'Get frustrated a ton then finally beat a boss and fap to your own heavenly glory' factor or Dark Souls, and takes it to eleven.

Oh, and Moose, if you thought two Gargoyles was bad on a roof. Try fighting 4. And there's a place that is basically Blighttown. EXCEPT IN PURE DARKNESS.

So all the poison and deadly drops. IN THE DARK. Because SEQUEL powers.

Movie is incredibly overrated.

It's good. But it's not nearly as good as the internet says it is.

Souls usually looks and sounds worse than it is, but sounds rough. Dark Souls DLC stuff got pretty ridiculous, got through Artorias and then wondered out loud if Kalameet was beatable.

Now I must have it. This just sounds too ridiculous to pass up. Fighting those gargoyles was wicked fun. I also cherry tapped that first demon to death, although it took me a few tries.

Watching the speed runs makes me question my abilities as a gamer.

Also, pretty sure I have some kind of undiagnosed ADHD. I've been updating a database at work, doing homework, posting here, and reading the news, without staying on any one project for more than maybe 10 minutes before moving to the next.

This is my cry for help.

It actually is pretty dang great. Makes me feel like a proper Papa Bear. I just got the Big Sis ability and its cool as phuck.

I think my favorite thing about the game is how adorable the Little Sisters are when you're protecting them. I don't understand how anyone could harvest them. And I love their commentary during battles. "Marshmallows!" always makes me smile despite how creepy it actually is.

A bit of Fridge Brilliance is that Subject Delta is conditioned to think the Little Sisters look adorable and protect-worthy even though in the first game, the hero finds them off-setting. However, it totally works. It's basically Papa Wolf's Roaring Rampage of Revenge: The Game and I love it dearly.

"Come on Daddy, don't make me carry you." is my favorite line in the game. Damn are they cute.

I thin kafter this I'll finally get Vampire: TMB and then I'll move on to Burial at Sea.

Bloodlines is good. Patch that shit though. I forget which; the True Patch or Gold Patch. Otherwise, the resolution won't work right and some of the content might still be bugged cuz Troika.

I've heard that yeah. I've downloaded it from Steam so I'll get tht done in the morning.

I finished Bioshock 2. Very underrated game. The beginning was slow, but it really picked up and got good. I do think Lamb was an underwhelming villain but eh, I enjoyed the other aspects of it more than I disliked her.

I think Bioshock is definitely one of the great trilogies of gaming. Mass Effect, Deus Ex and maybe the Ezio Trilogy of AC. Any ones I'm missing?

I personally really liked the Max Payne trilogy, but I'm unique in that regard. You could also argue that Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim is in itself a solid trilogy of sorts.

Nah, overrated.

It didn't have the scale of adventure that all the great Disney films have.
