Time to send in ground troops.

Echoing my thoughts in the GDF, I dunno if I particularly care about whether we go to war with ISIS or not, but if we do, I don't think this incident should be a deciding factor.

His death won't and shouldn't be a factor in starting a war. The life of one man isn't worth so much, objectively speaking.

I'm all for arming the Kurds, supporting the Iraqi military with advisers, and conducting an aerial campaign. But essentially re-invading with troops is costly and overkill. The regional powers can and will destroy IS. The Kurds have already taken back the Mosul dam and the fact that IS now feels the need to threaten/warn the West about stopping it's air attacks is proof that they can't handle them.
Full support, just no troops.

Nope, our problems involve telling everyone one else around the world that we somehow know how to keep civility, peace, and prosperity, when rarely have any of these things available to most. So no, we shouldn't go start a war because a group of extremist killed someone when we can barely handle internal problems. Luckily enough, America is at least not dumb enough to go on a marathon with a broken leg.

Originally posted by psmith81992It may be unforgivable. Unforgivable however =\= starting another costly war after just ending a prior one. If beheading some American they caught in the middle east is the worst ISIS can do, then our current strategy of bombing them with drones/air strikes and arming local resistance is a good course to stay on. The death of one American isn't worth the death of potentially hundreds more.
Sorry but beheading American citizens is unforgivable. There already is a war in case you didn't notice. ISIS started it and it's our job to finish it.
