Wow, you guys are really deep into the minutiae! And you are certainly greater experts than I am. Because it’s been so many years and because I wrote the comics with both Tom Veitch and Christian Gossett, both of whom had their own input and ideas, I am really reluctant to answer them just because I may contradict something that was changed during our many rewrites or brainstorming sessions. I may say something that contradicts another statement or panel. I know that’s not what you and your readers want to hear, but I think you will be better off trying to draw conclusions from the published work (remember, I work on so many drafts and make changes suggested by Lucasfilm that I don’t always know which final decision and which final version was actually published, and I certainly don’t have the time to reread all of those books to doublecheck an answer). Sorry I can’t be more help.

Do you think it'd be any help to email Vetich or Gossett?

Have you tried bribery yet?

Have you considered that these dudes wrote that stuff like twenty years ago and they probably don't even remember most of their author intent at the time, much less care?

The Jedi Academy trilogy came out in '94 and the TotJ comics came out in iirc '97. That's... a very long time ago.

you came out in 1991

Man, I am old and bitter. Sorry about that, gents.

I can't believe how much one french dude can kill a forum. No amount of socks have ever done that here.
As a non-French Canadian living in French Canada, I can confirm how much the French suck.

Only the Canadian French, though. Regular, ordinary, and normal French are okay. The European ones and some of the African ones or w/e

The normal french are even worse.

If “womb” is pronounced “woom” and “tomb” is pronounced “toom”, shouldn’t “bomb” be pronounced “boom”?

Get. Out.

Dave, how do you feel about the fact that Benjamin Netanyahu is slowly losing his grip on reality?

In what way?

I'm having more issues with this:
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2015/02/26/fcc-approves-sweeping-internet-regulation-plan-obama-accused-meddling/

But the rules, more broadly, would put the Internet in the same regulatory camp as the telephone by classifying it like a public utility, meaning providers like Comcast or Verizon would have to act in the "public interest" when providing a mobile connection to your home or phone.

That would dramatically expand regulators' power over the industry by requiring providers to act in the public's interest and enabling the FCC to fine companies found to be employing "unreasonable" business practices.

The FCC says it won't apply some sections of Title II, including price controls. That means rates charged to customers for Internet access won't be subject to preapproval, though critics warn of future regulation. But the law allows the government to investigate if consumers complain that costs are unfair.

God forbid. "The nerve of the Government to step in and prevent us from ****ing ur customer base!"

Anyhoo, I find the negative comparison to Europe's internet frame-work to be pretty hilarious considering the United States has one of the shittiest ISP systems in the world, proportionate to our first-world status.

edit- Regarding Benji, the fact that Iran will be getting a nuclear weapon and there's not a damn thing he nor the Republicans can do about it.

Lol. So naive. Of course him, Mossad, and the Republicans are going to do something about it. You're just not going to see it on live tv.

Also, I don't like over regulation, which is inevitably what happens when the government steps in. It didn't help after the Great Depression, and it's only making things worse.

They'll try, but like N. Korea and everyone else, it's just a matter of time. Ultimately, you can't stop an entire country with billions of dollars from getting one- forever.

I don't like over-regulation either. On the other hand, I also don't companies writing their own rules. I live in a neighborhood that' s victim of Comcast's aggressive monopolization of the ISP industry and shitty service.

Iran isn't North Korea though.

I have both comcast and ATT. Comcast is actually awesome.

How do you think Iran will be prevented from building a nuclear weapon- forever?

You like them? Ugh. Dude. I have ATT right now and had Comcast for about 6 years. Comcast has the best service in the area but charge hilariously high prices, while ATT is "alright" priced with shit service.

A few years ago there were a bunch of other ISP's out here who had more competitive service/prices, but they've all been eaten by Comcast.
