Holy ****ing shit. The Thunder just beat the Warriors in their own goddamn floor.

I really believe winning that game 2 in San Antonio completely changed the makeup of this team. Donovan struck gold with that giant lineup he discovered against the Spurs. Nobody thought Westbrook would turn into a smart PG and with his athleticism, he is going to be unstoppable.

Well, Westbrook did okay, (though nothing above average for his production,) but Adams, Ibaka, and Waiters came through for this team. Adams especially.

Absolutely incredible.

Westbrook was a goddamn beast in the 3rd quarter and he's shut down Curry in the 2nd half. I really did not have any faith in Billy Donovan but he has really turned this team around. I'm shocked. I don't think anybody in the NBA can beat a full potential Westbrook/Durant.

Well, this is really just full potential Westbrook, a god awful Durant, (I mean God awful) and the scrappiest lineup of bigs I've seen in a little while. I mean Kanter and Adams make the Warriors work.

Durant and Westbrook shot a combined 17-51.

Westbrook is the most athletic basketball player I've ever seen not named MJ. Maybe even MJ included. But neither him nor Durant shot well and they still won. Once Durant figures out a post game and stops jacking up shots, they'll be unbeatable.

I'm not sure if you noticed, but some of the 3's Curry and especially Thompson were taking were really disgusting. Like ridiculously off balanced, forced, jerky shots. Thunder have been covering them well out there.

Yup, the Thunder discovered their defensive abilities against the Spurs. I always thought the Warriors jack way too many shots and live and die by that. They died by that tonight.

Draymond was also taking some pretty retarded 3's. I feel like when their ball movement fails, their only true 3 point shot creator is Curry, who shot a very good 6-13 from 3 tonight.

They move the ball very well but the athleticism of OKC is able to cover ground pretty quickly. They did to the Warriors what they did to the Spurs, and forced them to play ISO ball and take bad shots.

OKC just seems so much more focused now. Like, during the regular season, their defense was complete garbage, even up till that Game 1 against the Spurs. Then they just locked in, like they know this year is it.

I'm telling you, that game 2 victory against the Spurs (as much as I hate talking about this) was the catalyst. They completely changed their mindset and composure. Westbrook started playing smart. The bigs were dominating the glass. Goddamn Dion Waiters started playing well. They were all locked in at the same time.

The Spurs really started showing their age, tbh. Duncan and Ginobili looked physically disabled, and Aldridge sputtered out in the last 3 games of the series.

I never had faith in Aldridge as a closer That's why he's a star but I wouldn't even call him an all star. Ginobili and Duncan definitely showed their age but Parker was the most embarrassing in the series. The Spurs' problem is they don't have an explosive PG with parker playing like he's 50. That's what they need to contend, even if they have to put Mills in the starting lineup and have the big 3 come off the bench. It's really Kawhi and everybody else at this point.

It's really interesting how athletic superiority has actually been a thing for the Thunder these past 2 series. You'd think in the NBA it wouldn't be too much of a factor, but against the Mavs and Spurs it was a huge edge for the Thunder.

But it's not just athletic superiority because they've always had that. It's athletic superiority mixed with intelligent basketball. That's a dangerous recipe.

So much for Durant in the Hawks, he ain't going anywhere 😛

That still rides on whether or not they make the Finals.
