I wouldn't necessarily say the ABA was as inferior to the NBA as you believe. The mid 70's was a relatively weak era for NBA basketball, and the ABA possessed some top of the line superstars, including Julius Erving, Moses Malone, David Thompson, and Rick Barry. Yet Erving was clearly the best player in ABA History, as evidenced by this. As the article points out, Erving was also extremely successful in the NBA. He's the 3rd greatest SF ever, imo, and I think Julius Erving vs Oscar Robertson is a legitimate debate.

What people like yourself will never understand is, that you don't need to fear the people poorer than you (which probably includes most immigrants). You're exploited by those richer than you. There is a metaphorical saying (or a joke? Pardon me. We are known for not having any sense of humor) about that here in Germany: A banker, a worker and an immigrant are sitting at a table, in front of them a plate with 20 cookies. The banker grabs the plate, puts 19 cookies in his own pocket and tells the worker: "Watch out, the immigrant is stealing your food."

Yea I'm not sure this is why most people are voting for Trump, at least not the people I know, nor myself. It's a "lesser of two evils" situation, and we don't really believe Trump is going to build a wall. I think you're exaggerating Trump's concepts.
A candidate that even thinks about doing something like that and proclaiming it in public would not be voteable for me any longer, even though just because of the utter stupidity involved at that point. And I'm not sure if Trump is the lesser of two evils.
