I don't remember why, but I was anti-rhetoric for a while back then, which obviously is a naive approach and it made our interchanges more spicy, but I only criticized you for turning "serious" discussions into banterfests.
Tempest doesn't really debate anymore. Tbh there are times when he'll respond to a series of detailed arguments with some vague witticism that doesn't actually refute or address what was being said. But he can do this, because he's established a strong reputation from his past, he's eloquent, he's very good at flattering people/building a personality, and every once in a while he pops in to to say something smart/produce an interesting quote or idea, just enough for people to continue to take him seriously.
It's brilliant, actually. I think there's a lot to learn from him.
