If Quan is "normal" as you say, then that rules out the obvious explanations for his behaviour that I provided. If he's closing in on 40, has a relatively normal and healthy relationship with the real world, and is emotionally stable, then something else is going on. He behaves as someone who's got something to prove. Like someone who's been looked down on, or overlooked his whole life, so he comes to the internet and performs as someone new. Like he's made a persona here of someone who's supposed to be smart, and logical, and great, and powerful, and he beats everyone over the head trying to convince them.
I know he'd never admit this publicly on here--I fully expect him to give one of his by-the-numbers responses--but he really seems like he's on a permanent ego-trip whenever he posts. Like the high that his internet identity gives him makes him actually believe the things he says about himself. I've never stumbled on another identity of his, like his "true" self coming through somewhere. He's probably buried it behind this fake one he shows us.
