Interesting opinion. Problem is you have a different opinion on debates to every other person in your country.
What happened to Trump was he fuelled every controversy that could be used against him, he's come out with lines that'll be quoted until November. "Maybe he hasn't played Taxes towards troops and Vets for twenty years" "that makes me smart"... Now whenever someone brings up his tax returns, he'll never be able to escape that line. When someone calls him a sexist, anyone can hit him for attempting to dominate her, even if that wasn't an issue of sex. If he attempts to say he has a good temperament, his degrading personality over the 90 minutes is an easy trump to that.
Being confident, loud, and talking doesn't mean someone "won" the first third. The debate matters more, imho, is how the discussion is altered for the next few weeks. When you actually analyse the debate, he said some utterly ridiculous things.
Doesn't mean he'll do worse off it, his supporters tend to not give a shit about logic or fact, but there's no way he "dominated" the third of the debate in which he said not paying taxes is "smart" and profiting off the loss of five million jobs is "just good business"... Especially when trying to look "presidential".

As is this, along with the fear-mongering of Trump becoming the next preso. As much as i would have liked to see a one round TKO. People have short memories and it would make sense to land the heavy punches at the end when she has less margin for recovery. Throwing haymakers right off would make more sense if he had to catch up, which he doesn’t - hence the polls.
