Encountering all 7 forms is not quite the same as learning every Kata or mastering all the sequences of those styles. What you have yet to understand is that the forms by themselves aren't just sets of movements enacted by dancing, they also represent seperate philosophies. Facing modules mimicking renowned fighters isn't sufficient enough to emerse him in doctrines that require an understanding outside of swinging a blade, in any case, the average Jedi training in a temple would be practicing with, or sparring against potentially hundreds of Jedi, meaning they themselves are encountering different styles of combat regularly. Galen isn't unique by sparring with different opponents who can't truly match the battlers in their flesh.
I'm not playing this game. It says "perfected" and "lightsaber combat" there's nothing to get confused over here.
Well... no, it's says "almost perfected" and yes lightsaber combat the concerning affair, but some how you've taken this accolade beyond its natural limits to express how Galen is almost as masterful a Soresu practitioner as Kenobi, only shy from Dooku's From 2 proficiency, comparable to Anakin in the style of Djem So and approaching Mace Windu's defness with Vaapad. I'm sorry to tell you, but for Galen, this clearly isn't the case. If it was, he wouldn't be getting tanked and spanked by a random imperial Shadow Guard. It's clear that the word perfection is only being used to produce a relative conviction in the same way mastery is often used to describe lightsaber wielders, in which case, the accolade puts him directly below people like Adi Gaila. I'd also like to know why Galen's lightsaber technique is considered imperfect, because it would explain why the people who can challenge him, have done so with nearing levels of success.
The module manages to do no such thing in the novel which as you already know I favor when contradictions occur.
He tanked and spanked him pretty handily in the comic. Galen, once again, having to revert to his Force abilties. Another L?
I'm not going to be responding to this subject here since this is a social thread and we are already doing this in another thread. Address it there.
Sorry, but sometimes it is easier to reiterate a debate when subjects are broken down into parts. You're inability to quote people after three years on this site doesn't exactly help matters either. Anyway, I see no reason why we can't continue the debate here now that the matter isn't so foggy, this is after all, a Star Wars forum.
