In this case? Both are scumbags, one at least tries to hide it. It's meaningful because some people can be convinced that Clinton isn't a psychopath, or something close.

I'm not going to pretend I'm even slightly interested or informed on modern politics past a surface level, but I don't think you need to be a rocket scientist to work out that when the only choices for leadership available to you are Vitiate and Darth Bane, that something fishy is going on.

I've been doing some reading on ancient Greek history while I was away, and there was plenty of "yeah... nope, nothing's changed there" moments. None of the shit I hear through the grapevine, or that I work out through research, about our society really surprises me at this point.

We make a lot of the same mistakes over and over again. Yet despite this, we continue to advance in the world. Who knows, maybe one day we'll have a healthier grasp on politics as a species.

At this point there is nothing left to defend. For a period of time, an actual sane adult COULD try to argue the whole "oh but Trump is mean and bad and all this stuff". That was legit..up to a certain point.
