You misunderstand - I own Overwatch and have fun playing it sometimes, but at the end of the day, it gets boring fairly quickly considering it's an incredibly shallow FPS MOBA. There were many games more deserving.
Considering it has a playerbase of 20million I'm gona go ahead and say that finding it boring and shallow is just your opinion. If they were more deserving then that other game would've won 🙂

The only criticism you can make is of the award itself, imo GOTY should be about innovation and creativity,
Tru I guess, but then none of Overwatch's competition was innovative or creative. I mean people say "Overwatch is just TF2 copy it doesn't deserve GOTY, Uncharter F-UCKING FOUR on the other hand does...". The irony with them is just staggering.

not whichever big gaming company can funnel an extraordinary budget into their version of already successful games...
Tbh that's where Blizzard was actually different, Overwatch was their first fps.
@gamers.
Tbf Overwatch isn't boring. It's interesting and intensive as all hell. The game succeeding in doing what EA and Dice failed to do. Which is successfully concoct a game that relies solely on multiplayer and free DLC Content, actual free content not the horse dung that EA pulled.
The fact that Overwatch is so popular despite the less than impressive graphics, repetitive maps and minimal modes speaks volumes of how fun it is to play and how unique characters and skill sets add more than having guns with different firing rates.
I love Uncharted, and it deserves GOTY. But Overwatch being the recipient is also good tbh.

Got potg today with Mercy in competitive when a nano boosted Genji ulti wrecked our team and I just hid like a phag 😛
LMAO. Dude last week i had a Zarya+Mei+Hanzo combo ulti while me and an Ana were chilling. Suffice it to say a nano boosted Reinhardt and a Amped Soldier were very much angry and enemy team raged quit✅
