I don't know how they can ever get bigger than what these three phases have led up to going forward.

Preferably they won't try to. Spectacle creep is cancer.

No, but it has the same lore as the games. In case you didn't know, lore =/= plot. Witcher's lore is so simple because it's entirely based on old slavic mythology.

For example I looked up the White Frost because it sounded interesting and I wanted to know more. What I literally found was that it's cold and kills worlds. That's it.

But the books go into more depth, obviously. 😐

And the White Frost is basically the heat death of the universe but in fantasy form yeah, but personally I find the politics of the universe has much more depth than what I've seen in DAI or Skyrim, perhaps not so much the mythological aspect.

Lmao Urs 🙂

Might be, but I don't give a shit about politics IRL nor in fantasy 🙂

laem

Anyhow I don't read the books (at least for a while), because I'm tired of badass male protags. And I don't think I could stand reading a single page about Yen.

That c-unt is the most annoying b-itch (who is supposed to be a good guy) that I ever seen.

Heh, I like her. 🙂

Figures.

What exactly do you dislike about Yen? I mean, I can understand the sentiment, I only chose her in Witcher 3 because it seemed like the thing Geralt would most likely do. Personally, I wouldn't say I hated her, but she's certainly far less likeable than Triss.

He's intimidated by strong, independent women. 🙁

Strong and independent isn't necessarily a flaw, but they kind of took it to an extreme with Yen. From what I can remember, Geralt was pretty much her ***** from the minute she showed up in Witcher 3, and she was pretty annoying at points.

wow, you are a sexist pig.

I chose Triss because of the romance from the last few games and because you can romance her before you really meet Yen but after getting to know her I felt like Geralt and Yen had better chemistry and a deeper connection that made me regret my choice.

I still really like Triss though and the scene before the final battle was so cute.

Apparently Geralt is actually pretty moany and sulky in the books and rarely gets into fights. He doesn't have much sex either.

Plus theres the whole thing about him getting killed by a random peasant with a pitchfork, lol.

Aren't all men in this day and age? Such is the modern rhetoric at least.

Yeah I never understood how a ****ing Witcher as legendary as Geralt was killed by some dude with a pitchfork. That's like if Anakin had been killed by the younglings he tried to kill.

On the subject of politics in games, I felt like Dragon Age Origins did pretty well for what was there, better than Inquisition did at least.

Apparently not. Maybe if I'm reminded of how I died.

Well it was a huge crowd of people and some random just stepped out and stabbed him. Even the best can't be aware of what an entire crowd is doing.

But didn't Geralt just kind of stop and look at him for a second before the kid killed him? I seem to recall something like that happening. Maybe I'm remembering wrong, been a while since I played any of the Witcher games.
