Got a question. In the Junior Novelisation of RotS, doesn't Kenobi muse that if the duel kept going on normally, Vader would have penetrated his defences and killed him?

The junior novel is low in terms of canon hierarchy. It's best to just take the canon statement on the fight; "The one time Master and Padawan fought as equals, with Vader using his anger and strength to counter the strokes of the more experienced and skilful Obi-Wan Kenobi."

Kenobi's more skilled, Vader's stronger, basically. But I do recall quotes stating Kenobi was hard-pressed initially, but found his feet (after he was kicked on that bridge).

Mace was his legitimate equal/slight superior in that fight, imo.

I mean, probably not. But he’s always going to have that amp going against Sidious and other dark siders, so I don’t see it as a one-time circumstial thing like a lot of others.
