They made Ghana look really good today. The US was totally outclassed by a team that was tactically and technically better as well as faster and more in shape. We had a favorable draw too. The defense is just humiliating. John harkes and Lalas need to stop being so optimistic about American soccer because its not going anywhere.

that was the first soccer game i have ever watched. Tremendous athletes on both sides, can't knock that, but gee whiz that was as boring as heck. How can people watch 120 minutes for 3 points?

I cannot believe the linesman didn't count that 2nd goal for England when it was blatantly obvious. FIFA just keep embarrassing themselves. If they don't institute instant replay after this world cup, the whole sport will become a joke.

I was thinking that. Why doesn't the World Cup use instant replay?

Because it "destroys the beauty of the game." Well, the bullshit calls and flopping have destroyed the beauty of the game in this world cup, far more than instant replay could have.

This just in. I automatically feel great about America's defense because as bad as it was, it doesn't come close to England's shitty defense.

As a German I have to say that call on England's second goal was really bullshit; it was a clear goal even without replay that everybody saw (german commentator and experts alike).
However, I don't think England would've pulled it off even with the moral boost from the goal, since they couldn't really score from open play.

Revenge for Wembley, better late than never. 😄
