A question about sock accounts:
I am NOT a sock, but how do they tell if an account is genuinely a sock account and the user didn't simply accidentally create multiple accounts or another person with the same IP registers?
They should have some sort of section of KMC Forums where banned members can appeal for stuff. I dislike it when forums ban you and refuse to even let you respond.
Total War Center Forums has The Tribunal where members can appeal their bans, which I think is a very good idea.

Hewhowknowsall:
1. False habeas corpus._ They claimed that hewknowsall all was banned for socking to avoid a ban, but the supposed sock account was created BEFORE hewhoknowsall was banned.
2. Alleged sock account was banned a day AFTER hewhoknowsall was banned.
3. The alleged sock account had the same avatar as a sock account of Nebaris, and that sock account had a feud with hewhoknowsall to to the point in which he stated hewhoknowsall to be_ his number 1 enemy.
4. The alleged sock had a speech pattern suspiciously similar to Nebaris's; aka posting run on sentences and making things unnecessarily complicated
5. Lack of matching IPs._ If they had matching IPs the alleged sock account would have gotten banned with hewhoknowsall, but the alleged sock account didn't get banned for about a day after.
6. Lack of evidence._ Sure the alleged sock supported hewhoknowsall suspiciously too much, but Nebaris, having had a feud with hewhoknowsall, could easily enough had pretended to be hewhoknowsall's sock to get him banned.
7. Lying of evidence._ I'm not trying to offend Rex; maybe he forgot, but in the Off Topic forum he publicly made fun of hewhoknowsall for getting banned (for breaking a minor rule once, and they banned him for it without giving him a warning despite him being a new member unfamiliar with the rules), yet after hewhoknowsall got recently perm banned he claimed that he wasn't aware that hewhoknowsall got banned.

Interests do not completely match supposed socks._ Many claim that KMCmember was a sock of hewhoknowsall, but hewhoknowsall rarely posted in the music section, which KMCmember did a lot._ KMCmembers also rarely posted in the SW vs. Forums, which is the part of the forums that hewhoknowsall posted the most in._ Clearly KMCmember isn't a sock of Nebaris, who rarely made any attempt to hide the fact that the account is a sock account._ KMCmember also exhibited more intelligence and different interests than Nebaris.

1. Why did it take 5 years for them to discover this?
2. Those supposed sock accounts were created during activation and rarely, if ever, used and have been inactive for a very long time._ If Gideon intended for them to be sock accounts, why wouldn't he ever use them?
3. The answer is that he likely created them BY ACCIDENT._
4. Therefore, he shouldn't get banned for accidentally creating a sock account.
5. Also, who's to say that those supposed sock accounts weren't simply other users with the same IP address?
6. Given that Gideon was a long time member of KMC forums and has not to my knowledge been banned, why didn't they send him a PM asking him to explain instead of banning him without letting him explain the situation?
