Haynesworth did not approach the situation properly. He was 100% right to not want to play in Haslett's garbage 3-4. Showing up out of shape, throwing attitute to everybody, and in general not being ready for games was wrong. The core issue doesn't go away though. Haynesworth is an All-Pro DT in a 4-3 and no team should play a 3-4 if he's on it. The Skins should have traded him and/or cut him when they planned to go to a 3-4. Nothing good resulted for the Skins by going to a 3-4

yeah, i just tried to watch it, saw what was coming and couldn't go through with it.
Yeah, thats what happened to me. Top 10 movie deaths. 'Number ten: the curbstomp scene from American History X' 'Oh, I wonder what thats OH MY GOD THATS WHERE THAT TERM COMES FROM I KNOW WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN DON'T WATCH WTF!?'
Unfortunately I chose the single worst time to peek through my fingers. 😐
does it not show his face close up when he gets kicked? That's what I thought was about to happen when it zoomed in on his face.
It shows him putting his teeth around the curb and thats about when I chickened out. My imagination was enough.

Haynesworth is a ***** dude. He's a washed up scrub. He needs to get his ass back in shape or ride the bench.
So you are buying Shanahan's story here? I would find it more credible if he didn't use the same lame excuse about McNabb midway through the season, only to admit that it wasn't true later.
"Out of Shape" to Shanahan seems to mean "I need an excuse not to play them." I mean, fool me once, shame on you, but...

Even if I don't buy Shanahan's story, I trust him a hell of a lot more than the Tracy Mcgrady of football. Haynesworth really needs to stop embarrassing himself.
I get where he is coming from. He is good in a 4-3. He signed a contract in a place where they told him they would run a 4-3. They then signed a guy who changed it to a 3-4.
They should have traded him, since he obviously sucks in a 3-4.
He went wrong when he took that bonus at the beginning of the year though. If he wanted out, he should have made it happen there rather than taking the money like he intended to do his best.

That's his problem. He needs to adjust, not the team. If he was worth a damn he would lose some weight and start practicing more. Hence the T-Mac comparisons.
