I was watching the bulls, and rose reminds me of that guy that if you are the opponent, you love it when he shoots the ball. You know that if you pressure the shot, he will miss it, and yet he will continue to shoot.
But he didn't continue to shoot. That's Westbrook. Rose is unstoppable one on one. Problem is, he doesn't have a second scorer and has to shoulder the load.
Cad Bane runs off with a crystal that can find every Force sensitive child in the galaxy. Yoda say there is a "small chance" the "Council" can detect them.
Follow that up a minute later with the "Council" of Yoda, Mace, Kenobi, and Anakin identifying half a dozen planets with those children. Yoda even narrows one down to a specific "southern region". Out of those half dozen, "Council member" Anakin sees the future of one of the children falling to the Dark Side. A Gungan child. On Naboo.
That f*cking show.

Is this before or after they mindrape him?
Why the heck are you watching this crappy show anyways. If this keeps up I'm might be forced to cave just to keep up.
Before they capture him.
I started watching because I felt left out of a lot of conversation. The show's storylines really start picking up once Cad arrives. Multi-episode arcs make for more interesting episodes. Even the animation in the episode, "Brain Invaders", momentarily peaked.
And the weird thing is, this show features a more likable and convincing incarnation of Anakin. This actor's voice is deeper than Christensen, and halfway through season 2 I was pleased to see some shades of the Dark Side creeping in. Anakin and Padme's relationship and dialogue feels more "real" in this too. They were bickering about something and the conversation flowed naturally like it would in real life. So far I think the biggest boon the Clone Wars will provide is greater detail and exploration in to Anakin's character.
There are still very silly and frustrating things though. The "Stormtrooper Effect" seems to have taken hold on everyone, and it seems that any two-bit character who gets hold of a lightsaber can withstand the attacks of a fully trained Jedi. The saber skills of every Force user now seem very average due to this dilution of ability. And no Jedi seems to remember that they have telekinetic powers when it's most needed. I've lost count of how many times one Grip or Push would have saved the day but it was too inconvenient to the show's story to use it.
And on the Odd scale of things: the transition to computer animation has somehow enhanced Natalie Portman's ass to tremendous levels. My eyes have never been drawn to an artificial backside like they have in The Clone Wars, and it's been freaking me out.

The most egregious example being Hondo vs. Anakin later in season two. But, otherwise, I can't recall an example of a two-bit character holding his own against a fully trained Jedi. Ahsoka defeated Bane's changeling associate pretty handily.

Amen to that. **Wait's for Veneficus' nonsense***

None of the fights seem to do anything different anymore. Everyone can perform the same strikes, dodges, and blocks at the same speed and efficiency. It was literally one year beofre this that Dooku completely schooled Obi-Wan, struck down Anakin, and held off Yoda. Now it feels like everyone's taken 100 Rare Candies since then.

No problem there. The Magna-guards that Anakin/Kenobi fought on the Invisible Hand were Greivous's elite, trained by him in the various lightsaber forms.

Well according to Karpyshan's FAQ, fights don't have anything to do with who's 'better' but on circumstances and shit. Therefore every fight comes down to narrative convenience rather than skill.Duh.
Originally posted by ares834Didn't he do that with all the MagnaGuards? And the ones this random Knight killed were his personal bodyguards in his secret lair. Two of them cut down in seconds.

Originally posted by NephthysExactly. A Jedi Master and a Padawan who destroys MagnaGuards can't take down Ventress (who never WINS, only escapes). They (and like every Force user) also don't possess the ability to sense lifeforms at very convenient times. Even beings strong in the Force (like Ventress).
Don't see the problem with this either. Luminara is a Jedi Master afterall.
Silly show.
