For what it's worth, Spectre (Corrigan) did own King of Tears in their encounter. And in the above scans, Spectre being unable to beat the KoT was, at least from my interpretation, due to KoT being 'outside' Spectre's assigned 'role'. (has no soul to redeem/damn etc. thus it's not actually Spectre's 'job' to beat him) Not to mention him fighting like an idiot/being inexperienced/not using/having the full extent of his powers.

Meh .. KoT still destroys pre-Final Crisis Darkseid. As for the current Darkseid, we haven't seen enough of him to make an accurate judgement.
