PART 10/The Final Chapter
Batman vs Hush

Framed in the Wayne Tower, roof doorway, Batman stands ready for combat.

"You attempted to kill Jim Gordan. You've killed his daughter, Barbara. You have tried to kill my family. You better pray Catwoman is alive. All so you could kill Harvey Dent?" Batman shouts over the sudden downpour of rain.

Hush smiles.

"No Bruce. After Dent's death, I've decided to rob Wayne Tower. It's not enough to kill your family. I want your Empire as well. But now, It's time for the last member of the Wayne family to fall. Goodbye Bruce."

Raising his remaining pistol Hush opens fire. Batman crouches as a few bullets rip into the doorway. Leaping forward, through the downpour of rain, with both hands Batman grabs Hush by the shoulders, pushing him to the ground. Hush knees Batman in chest knocking the Dark knight off of himself and then Hush scrambles to his feet. Raising his pistol, Hush is about to open fire again when Batman performs a spinning kick, knocking the gun out of Hush's hand where it skids across the floor.

Batman attempts to punch Hush who sidesteps it and Batman ends up punching trench coat cloth, ripping it. Tommy Elliot turns his face into a mocking expression of anger.

"That was my favourite trench coat Bruce. You needn't worry though. I'm sure I'll be able to use your money to pay for it, once I've killed you."

Hush attempts to kick Batman who raises his arm, blocking it. Hush attempts a punch but Batman raises his other arm blocking it. Batman retaliates with a punch to the face, knocking Tommy Elliot to the ground.

Hush grabs his dropped pistol and as Batman walks towards Tommy Elliot, he pushes the gun up, underneath Batman's chin, threatening to fire. Breathing heavily from the battle and leaning close to Batman's face, to talk over the rain, Hush says......

"This is how it ends Bruce. I kill you. I kill Dent and everyone here. By the time Superman wakes up from the Kryptonite attack by your sidekicks, I will be long gone with all of Wayne Tower's money. You think you can stop me? WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE, HUH BRUCE!!!!???"

Batman moves with lightning speed, punching the gun away from Hush, he follows with a kick to Tommy Elliot's waist, pushing him towards the roof edge.

"Who am I? I'm the Batman."

Hush is about to fire when Batman throws a batarang, cutting the gun in half. Hush steps forward to land a punch to the face but Batman side steps it and punches Hush to the ground. He then punches him across the face again and again. He holds Tommy Elliot by the scruff of his trench coat, as Hush's legs dangle a few inches from the ground.

"Give it up, Tommy. You've lost."

Hush is about to respond when Harvey Dent steps forward, recovered from being knocked out. He charges at Tommy Elliot, , knocking him over the side of Wayne Tower. As Tommy Elliot falls, he grabs Harvey Dent by the shoulder and pulls him over the edge with him.

Batman runs towards the edge and is about to leap after them, only to see nobody over the side, nobody plummeting, as if they were never there......

Batman revives Superman, Nightwing and Huntress. Robin is thawed out from Superman's arctic breath attack and Catwoman's injuries are attended to. At the Bat-Cave, Jim Gordan weeps over the loss of his daughter Barbara Gordan, believing her to be dead......

In a warehouse near to Gotham Docks, Poison Ivy tends to her plants underneath a glass roof. The roof shatters due to a batarang which cuts through a plant and embeds itself in the floor. Ivy is too stunned to react as a caped figure drops through the roof and throws several more batarangs which hit a large plant and explode. The plant collapses on Ivy who struggles to crawl free from underneath the vegetation. A high heeled boot kicks Ivy across the face.

"You drop a Plant on me, I drop a plant on you." states the caped figure as they fire a grappling line and ascend back onto the roof. Ivy looks up and sees the costumed vigilante silhouetted in the moonlight......

Barbara Gordan is still alive. Batgirl has returned......

Captain America vs Constantine Drakon

Location: Avengers gym

Steven Rogers lays on a bench press machine doing up to four hundred pounds of weight laying in his sweatshirt and sweat pants he sits up narrowing his eyes at a figure coming from the dark and turns elbowing Constantine Drakon coming from the dark. Drakon backflips away and springs back tackling Captain America into the ground with his fist raise up but is knocking in the chin with a palm strike getting him off and Captain America delivers 3 more punches into his face and as Drakon falls backwards he back flips and jumps towards Steven with a spinning kick and knocks Captain America back and gets in close for an elbow to the face and Captain America rolls with it and does a back kick to the gut and quickly turns to uppercut Drakon away into some weights. As Drakon lands he falls onto a weight back carrying two hundred pounds while Captain America tosses a 45 pound plate into a wall next to him and it ricochets towards Drakon who jumps to dodge it and gets a drop kick into the stomach and is knocked back and Captain America keeps moving forward to drop his legs ontop of the weights onto Drakon's chest.

The humanoid figure floats there, statue esque within space. The local sun is aggravating him, it hurts his eyes and obscures his vision Anger swells up but is swiftly terminated. Nothing is impossible for him. Nothing.

The hand moves slowly, the index finger extends first with a casual grace while the thumb cocks itself, his hand forming a loose interpretation of a firearm.

“Bang”

A universe explodes. A hundred million lives snuffed out in an instant. His finger smokes in a almost comical fashion, almost that is, for the endless light-years of debris is a sobering sight. Defying physics he brings up the offending digit and lightly blows, somehow dispersing the smoke in the endless frigid void.

“Better” he smiles satisfactorily, a job well done in his own opinion.

PART 1
The Arrow family vs Deathstroke

In the JLA watchtower Red Arrow is on monitor duty, Green Arrow and Speedy are keeping him company for the long night ahead.

Suddenly the watchtower alarm sounds, an intruder is in the trophy room. The Green Arrow alerts any nearby Justice League members in reserve whilst Red Arrow and Speedy head to the trophy room.

Deathstroke is in the trophy room. Slade calmly walks up towards a hi-tech safe and plasters c-4 explosives all over it. A red arrow zips through the air about to hit Deathstroke in the back, but with quick reflexes, Deathstroke spins around and knocks the arrow off course with his sword.

In the trophy room entrance Speedy and Red Arrow stand, bows ready to fire. Deathstroke smiles beneath his mask.

"How brave of Oliver to send the kids to do the dirty work. I'll still kill you all the same."

Deathstroke deflects a volley of arrows from Speedy's bow and grabbing a parademon's spear off the wall, he throws it at Speedy. At the last moment, Mia ducks but the spear has cut her bow in half. Slade is already right next to her and he stabs her in the shoulder with his sword. Red Arrow kicks Slade back into a glass jar containing a Starro creature, but this does not even stun Slade who responds by grabbing Captain Colds gun and opening fire on Red Arrow.

In the monitor room, Green Arrow contacts Wonder-Woman requesting help, but Diana is busy, protecting her home from an attack by Black Adam and heavily armoured troops from Kahndaq. Green Arrow abandons the room, heading after Deathstroke.

Slade continues firing Captain Cold's weapon at Red Arrow, who dives behind a trophy case of Robin's costume, which is instantly frozen and shattered. Grabbing one of Booster Gold's gauntlets, Red Arrow fires an energy beam destroying Captain Colds gun. Unfazed Deathstroke walks towards Red Arrow, pulls out a pistol and manages to unload three shots into Connor's chest. Slade calmly walks to the safe and blows it open.

A motherbox is inside.

Green Arrow reaches the trophy room and finds Speedy unconscious from her stabbing and Connor face down in a growing pool of blood.......

Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman vs Black Adam and Kahndaq

On the island of Themyscira battalions of Amazonian women flee from their coastline into the city streets, past ancient temples. Kahndaq soldiers pursue them, firing advanced weaponry such as destructive energy beam gauntlets. Several Amazonians run forward impaling a troop of soldiers.

Artemis stands on a temple roof raining down arrows until she becomes surrounded by soldiers, pulling out two large knives, she continues fighting hand to hand. A soldier runs up behind her, raising his machine gun to fire. A batarang flies through the air, bouncing off his head. Batman leaps into the fray.

Superman approaches the island at super speed, creating large sonic booms that knock entire platoons flying through the air. Wonder Woman stands allied with her mother, sword raised, violently cutting down soldier after soldier.

Superman is punched from behind and is knocked into a pillar, the pillar shatters and the temple it supported collapses on Superman. Breaking free of the rubble, Superman spots his attacker, Black Adam.

"TETH!!! WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS???? WHAT HAVE THE AMAZONS DONE TO YOU OR YOUR COUNTRY???"
"Nothing. My country is overpopulated and we need more land. I was offered Amazonian land by the same person who provided my troops with high tech weaponry to take it. Whoever this supplier is, they want the Amazons dead."

Adam flies straight into Superman, knocking him back skidding across the ground into a group of Amazonians. Superman gets to his feet but is punched down again by Adam. Adam grabs Superman by the back of the head and pushes it into the ground. Batman leaps forward, nerve pinching Black Adam, but to no affect and is swatted aside.

Wonder Woman decapitates a Kahndaq suicide bomber before he can detonate next to Artemis. Diana flies towards Adam who is on the receiving end of an uppercut by Superman. She ties Adam up with her lasso.

"Speak the truth, who is supplying your troops with these advanced weapons?"
Adam hesitates "I don't know. They remained anonymous."

Wonder Woman forces Black Adam to call off his troops but many people have been killed leaving the Amazons weak. The three JLA members receive a distress call from Green Arrow telling them of the robbery and the injured heroes but another distress call comes through from Hal Jordan with Nightwing in Himalayas.

The General and Prometheus are attacking Rhas Al Ghul's fortress!!!!!!

The night is dry and unforgiving, a bitter wind --razor sharp and cold as ice-- tears around and through him. He wonders why their here, a small sleepy village of all places. Admittedly it is the strange county of midsomer, death is no stranger to this place.

Frozen fingers, stiff and unresponsive (the winds doing) reach for the familiar breast pocket, alas the treasure is missing, dispensed for New Year. 'A good resolution' one of his teammates had said...it was Lee wasn't it ? Yes Lee, the oddly philosophical chinese fellow, had to be in his fifties or sixties if his hair was to be taken into account. The facial scars and godly pysiche however would throw anyone off.

"Dammit" the figure mutters angrily, old habits dying very hard indeed. It's affecting him, he's sure of it. Makes it difficult to focus. He'd been asking himself a question moment ago. What was it ?

Slowly the fishing net of recollections draws in its catch. A voice, namely that of Noguchi (another teammate, this time japanese). "Bugs...lots...we kill them..kill them all"

She wasn't much of a talker.

A sudden hiss and a knife of fear stabs him in the gut. He turns slowly, almost knowing what will be waiting behind him. "Shit".

It's tall, nearly eight feet with a shiny black carapace, no eyes and a hell of a lot of drool. Everything is drained away in those few spare nanoseconds. The mental problems, the tobacco craving, the unfamiliar teammates. He knows what he has to do.

A dark skinned hand slaps into the creatures head. It doesn't move, apparently shocked by the mere fact that its 'food' would hit it. He makes a wish-

which promptly becomes true. Its corpse is almost pretty. Separated into hundreds of picturesque pieces, all suspended in mid air by the ghostly blue glow, ethereal hands grasping flesh and bone, keeping them locked apart from each other.

He smiles and steps back, making a small prayer thanking The Lord for his gift. It is a oft-repeated ritual. Necessary but brief. There is much hunting to be done.

The JLA and Outsiders vs the Injustice League

IN the Himalayas Ras Al Ghul and his league of assassins defend their mountain fortress from two members of the Injustice League, Prometheus and the General!

"Your generous benefactor made a weapons deal, Ra. You backed out too late, now he wants you out of the picture!"

Prometheus takes a swipe at several assassins with his energy baton, knocking them off the wall of the fortress, approaching the inner base. On the highest point, the helicopter pad, Ra pushes his daughter, Talia into a helicopter and orders the pilot to take off, much to her dismay. Ra then rejoins the fight for his home.

Several assassins run up one of the stairways of the outer walls but the stairs collapse and are reduced to rubble as the General smashes his hulking figure through the fortress knocking down ancient structures.

A flash of green light holds everyone attention for several seconds as Green Lantern plummets towards them from hundreds of miles above. Contained just behind him in a green bubble is Nightwing, FLash, Metamorpho, and Hawkgirl.

Hal Jordan floats above the paused chaos as all look up at the emerald enforcer.

"On behalf of the super hero community, you've got one chance, one, to end this fight now, or we will end it for you."

Hal gets his reply in he form of multiple machine gun rounds which hit him in the back, his shield protecting him from harm.

Nightwing leaps forward into the fray, twirling his clubs, taking down one ninja with a sharp tap to the back of the head and an assassin with a spinning kick. Ras Al Ghul steps forward and unsheathes his sword.

In the blink of an eye Flash removes numerous men from the battlefield away from the General until he is hit with a back handed slap, bowling him to the ground. The General picks Flash up by the arm and throws him into the wall, winding him. Before he can crush Flash beneath his gigantic fists, Hawkgirl plants her mace into the Generals face providing screaming agony.

Green Lantern raises his hand and in his grasp appears a large energy gun that he uses to take down the gun turrets on the fortress. Explosions shake the entire base......

Metamorpho turns into laughing gas in order to take down the General, who sways left and right before collapsing into another wall.

Nightwing blocks Ras' sword with his clubs and kicks him back. Ascending a large stairway to the top of a spiraling tower that leans over a cliff edge, Nightwing uses his earpiece to contact more JLA members. Suddenly Ra is behind him. Nightwing again blocks with his clubs but Ras Al Ghul's sword shatters them and Nightwing is kicked back to the edge of the tower. As Ra raises his sword, Nightwing throws a batarang cutting the blade in half. Before Ras Al Ghul can react, walking up from behind, Prometheus hits Ra with his energy baton. The tower begins to crumble and the three men fall to their doom, until Green Lantern catches them in the palm of a gigantic green hand.

Later that evening, Ra is interrogated by Batman in a prison cell of the Watchtower. The "Mysterious Benefactor" Ra double crossed is revealed.

Lexcorp have been supplying numerous factions with high tech weaponry......

PART 4 ( Captain Marvel, Hawkman, Green Arrow and the Teen Titans vs An army of Parademons!)

PT 2

He was old. Old and tired and grouchy and-

Ah, Shit. The bugs again.

He didn't exactly know what they were, and from a man of his age that was something to say. The creature was roughly as tall as he was ---"When you could stand tall for more then an hour old man" his treacherous mind whispered to him-- and seemed to be covered in some kind of shiny black carapace. Saliva dripped everywhere, the damn thing had more teeth then a shark and no eyes.

How did it keep finding him ?

Holed up in a small cupboard (a 'personal larder' he'd invested in), snacking on powdered Ramen (which he would only today discover, tasted much worse when lacking water, then again he'd admit to never being the sharpest tool in the shed) after the 'attack' began. 'Attack', pfft. He'd seen better military strikes 300 years ago. These things weren't 'attacking', they were hunting.

The old man store at the creature. Dumb thing had gotten itself wedged in the entrance, instead of wriggling its way out it just continued ramming forward, a small set of jaws shooting out now and then as if to taunt him. Sighing loudly he proceed to stab the creature to death with a a butcher knife (calmly obtained from a complimentary steak set). The acid stung like a b*tch, but compared to having a hand full of lightening rammed into your lung it was almost bee-stings.

Couldn't an old man get some rest ?

Sean Barker disliked his job.

It wasn't that it was difficult (His superiors pointed and clikced, no explanation was neccisary) it was just that....well...it lacked locational stability.

The blade snapped down, slicing through carapace, acid and muscles like a knife through butter. The blade held throughout....

One minute he was in a burning city in the mid-west, next it was a trashed city a jutting tower and its inhabitants ruining the atmosphere, then an alleyway, full to brim with grinning lizards, needle teeth glinting in the moonlight.

He needed a home.

A well placed Pressure cannon crushed a dozen or so of the bastards, they hissed like a deflating basketball and fled, turning a country lane corner and sprinting towards the forest. Not that he'd let them escape of course.....

The team didn't help either. Some old Chinese guy, a Jap with some serious technology issues, a dazed looking british guy , a robot and a blond girl.

And they made him leader.

HIM ! The man who relied upon his superiors words for everything, that..argh..he just couldn't handle this. He was lucky no one had died yet.

"Hey, Birkin, how's Mister Roboto doing" he muttered to no one, those handy dandy little nano-bots in his blood relaying the information (as well as a visual representation based upon a live recording of his faces muscle movements) to his team mates.

"Were alright so far, nothings escaped the perimeter and we laid the mines like you asked"

"Good" he replied, a single worry dropped from a veritable mountain upon his shoulders, "We don't need any of these ugly little bastards running away now would we ?"

"No...sir" she added.

Sir ? He was still unused to that. So much , so very much to get used to.

Damn his bosses, damn them to hell.
