Slayer never was a 'spandex metal band'.Neither were Anthrax or Metallica,or Pantera or Megadeth.
For spandex listen to Dokken,Motley Crue and whatnot.Maybe you should ask Ladyluck about that.
But,don't make an ass out of yourself.

everyone in the 80's with long hair and a guitar wore spandex..it was common back then...some lost it...moved on...developed...but Slayer's still playin' that same old shit they did 18 years ago..

But they were Influencial. If it weren't for Slayer, half of your though Metalcore/Make up wearing bands would not exist. 馃槵

PS,where you there to see it?
As stated earlier Metallica,Pantera and Megadeth didn't wear spandex. You do know what spandex is right?Superman wears it. 馃憜
Anthrax for a matter of fact, were the first Metal band that had a 'skater style'.That is used by alot of modern metal bands.

Devin Townsend is the man.
And it's true about Slayer influencing countless bands to adopt their one dimensional one pace music with no melody or any hooks.

I never said it was good music.
But to say Slayer wasn't influencial is just stupid.

As I expected.No answer.

same can be said about Iron Maiden, JP or bloody Exodus...

well...i saw a lot of Bands, being a tad older...
Metallica didn't wear that stuff..true and yes i know what spandex is
we're talking about a gap of ten years here...in the early 80's spandex was in, in the early 90's skater style was fashionable...

It is stupid. What metal needs now is more Devin Townsend. Wish he was an Aussie. 馃嵑

Anthrax, were from the early eighties. That proves your knowledge of musical history right there.

hold on were talking about influences...and Anthrax may be formed in the early 80's but back then musically insignifficant...it lasted until the mid to late 80's when their career took a jump start...

Well, you can't say Metallica was an 'MTV Icon' the moment they started.
