WHY WASNT Nightcrawler in X3

I mean if Rebecca Romajin can do it for 3 Films, he could have did it.

I mean what else does he have to do besides creepy cologne commercials.

Ummm....Rogue and Bobby were together in X2, so if that was the case, which it's not, they could have brought him on in X3.

what does the X3 official video game say about Nightcrawler's character, in the game, what happens to nightcrawler? Im sure it explains his absense in the movie (storywise/i know about the actor thing)

apparently at the end of the 'x-men the official game' nightcrawler tells prof xavier that being an x-man and fighting isnt the kind of life he wants to lead so he leaves to live a peaceful life.
