Some Werewolves are not cool. The ones that only change at a full moon and get downed by a single silver bullet no matter what the caliber sucks. The Vampire's from Blade seem to have this same effect but they incinerate.
One thing about the Vampires in the World of Darkness is that the older the Vampire gets the stronger it gets. Some elders (300+ Years Old) get to the point to were they rival Lestat or Dracula and the true ancients, the Methuselahs and the Antediluvians who where around for thousands of years often possess godlike powers.
