Three filmmakers who brought us 24, The X-Files and The Blair Witch Project have partnered with Warner Home Video (WHV) on a line of edgy new independent films to be released on DVD. Tony Krantz, John Shiban and Dan Myrick will each direct and produce the films under the brand name, Raw Feed.

First up is Rest Stop, a rated R movie about a young couple terrorized while on a cross-country trip. The movie is expected to debut in October, just in time for Halloween. Written by John Shiban, Rest Stop will be Shiban's feature film directing debut and promises to be a smart, well-thought out tale that's right in line with today's torture trend in cinema.

It is in its final week of shooting, and I was on the set yesterday. I had the opportunity to witness severed fingers and the projectile vomiting of blood, to name just a couple of the grisly horror delights. Apparently, this is the work of a sadistic killer called The Driver (there was no sign of him on set, aside from a conspicuous blood stain left over from the previous day's shooting of a cruelty scene)

This looks pretty cool...

Let me guess, the plot involves a bunch of half-dressed idiots like Eliza Dushku and Jessica Biel (who also fit that trait in real-life) who stop at a rest area and get terrorized at the soda machine, toilets, and while trying to read the map (after 2 hours of trying to figure out what U.S. state she's in, Eliza Ditzku gives the killer plenty of time to chop off her head and let all the air out between her ears).

Yeah don't even have to read the plot synopsis.. it is pretty obvious what this is about.

It's so funny when people bag out movies before they have even seen a trailer. Hahaha.

Do you know how people like Zombie movies, other people like Slasher movies?

Well my favourite genre is lost in the middle of nowhere, backwoods etc.

Man this is my last post here. Keep waiting for a horror movie with a plot on par with the lord of the rings people. It will happen one day, maybe in like 2030.
