While this isn't a bad showing for Champion per se, I think it is clear that Champion isn't invincible.

I have that issue,

Nice scans of Silver Surfer defeating a Non-Power Gem Champion.

Now give him his Gem and see if that can happen again.

And you shouldn't be comparing Siver Surfer to Superman anyway, Silver Surfer is beyond Supes.
