I just saw it; the movie is on par with the first movie. I was neither impressed nor dissapointed; its pretty much what you'd expect.
Pros
----
- Fantastic animation, just like the first
- Mature atmosphere; I thought it was great that Marvel was allowed to do some real violence. There's a flashback sequence where Captain America's old army buddy gets his neck snapped. Thor sacrifices blood. Captain America gets a bloody stabbing.
- Iron Man is hilarious
- Bruce Banner isn't an A-Hole
- Betty Ross did some damage
- Chitari (The Extraterrestrials from the first movie) are back.
- The Captain America/Black Panther short tussle was pretty sweet
- Captain America is edgy and badass
- Wasp, Black Widow, Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America all have likeable personalities.
- Thor RULES; he is the coolest demigod ever.
Cons
------------
- Almost all of the superheroes were weak as hell. What can I say, these people suck in comparison with their comic counterparts.
- Captain America was an idiot. He's still badass, but he's very unintelligent. And he's weak.
1) He couldn't even dodge gunfire and got shot 4 times by Keisler.
2) He literally walked into Keisler's knife, like a moron.
3) He was FOOLED into letting the Centari onboard the Avenger's ship, ultimately endangering the Avengers to the point of death. He almost inadvertedly killed Wasp. Good thing Thor came in and saved everybody.
4) Captain America LET HIS SHIELD GET STOLEN. Genius.
- Iron Man was kind of weak. He wasn't fast enough to dodge a rudimentary Wakandan ram. And he wasn't fast enough to evade a spear from knocking off his blaster. Its very sad when a man in uniform can bench 70 tons but loses to indigneous people with spears and battering rams.
- Henry Pym was weaker than weak.
- Black Widow didn't play much of a role, but she was very likeable in the movie.
- Black Panther was weak. I can't believe he let Captain America toss him out of that window, and he didn't even land on his feet! His comic counterpart is supposed to be formidable against the likes of Batman, Iron Man, and Daredevil. But somehow they made Black Panther into a weakling.
- Nick Fury should've sliced and diced those stupid aliens!
- The movie isn't any better than the first.
- Ultimate Avengers 2 simply doesn't compare to the DCAU Universe.. except maybe Braniac Attacks (shivers at the thought of it).
- It didn't make sense that they would build up Captain America for most of the movie and let Iron Man/Thor/Henry Pym save the world. Well, Giant Man didn't do much...
Anyway, overall the movie was enjoyable and I'm glad I watched it. Cheers to Marvel.
Just finished watching it and I agree with Mr. Heavy Silence. It was alright, but I couldn't help but feel just a little bit disappointed.
My observations: (possible SPOILERS below!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
---ALL of the heroes are seriously depowered compared to their comic Ultimate counterparts, and even more than their 616 counterparts (ie. Iron Man taken out by a spear and a log?)
---glad to see Tony's armory and the War Machine Armor in action
---not enough Hulk (in fact, almost none)
---glad to have Black Panther in the mix, but Black Panther's costume gave me horrific flashbacks of Halle Berry's Catwoman suit
---in my opinion, most of the characterizations were on par, except for Black Panther and Cap. Also they seem to downplay Stark's brains and ingenuity and focus more on his playboy/glory hog persona.
---nice nod to Tony's drinking problem when we see constantly see a drink in Tony's hand every time he's not inside the armor
---Tony Stark is the man
---gotta love the violence (stabbings, shootings, disintegrations, broken necks); this one isn't for the kiddies
---Thor brings Tony back to life but proceeds to let Hank croak? (granted Hank Pym is pretty much useless, but still.)
---loved, Loved, LOVED the Ultimate Gag Reel (sponsored by Tony Stark's House of Ribs)
Overall, it was okay, if not memorable for the fact that its an Avengers movie. Hopefully the upcoming animated Iron Man flick that was among the DVD's previews will be better.

Bruce Banner plays a part in discovering the Chitari's weakness, which inadvertedly saves the day.
And The Hulk escapes from captivity, but his whereabouts are unknown.
