Wheedon writes Wolverine as comedy relief. What other X-Writer has ever done this before? I could give a laundry list of why Wheedon's Wolverine is horrible, but the above reason really says it all. Wolverine is not there for comedy relief.
Astonishing Wolverine may be one of the better representations of the character in comics today, but that just illustrates how badly the character gets handled. When Wheedon's Wolverine is the best example of the character you have, there is really something wrong.
I think that Wolverine would most likely take bigger majority of wins. Only things going for Beast are superior agility. I'm not sure if he truly is stronger then Logan, but if he is, two tons won't mean much. Their speed is equal, I actually think that Logan has better fighting speed feats, he might win there. Logan is vastly better fighter, there is no point discussing that. But what makes Logan win this fight is his healing factor. I don't think that Beast simply can inflict enough damage that Logan can't heal from.
As for Logan in Astonishing, yes, he is a comedy relief there and here, but he has many badass scenes, and he is not written as idiot all the time. I think that is one of the best portrayal of Wolverine as far as fighting and quotes go...

Massachusetts? Why does everyone have to be so far from me? And I don't mean this as "talking shit," like I want to go beat someone up over some comic book characters, I just mean....well, hell, it would be great to find someone to spar with, stand-up, or on the ground.
Since I'm home for the summer, I have no one. One of the guys that live in my dorm at UNT will spar with me periodically, but he lives no where near me. It is totally off topic, but if anyone lives near the San Antonio, Texas area and feels like going a round or two stand-up, or on the ground, let me know!

I personaly enjoy boxing and a mix of bowing and street fighting simlar to kick boxing. we don't go all out and we use gloves, but a lot of times I end up with a pritty blue face lol

Thats cool, I usually go with Vale-Tudo rules and the MMA fingerless gloves. We refrain from gouging, biting, and small joint manipulation, obviously, but other than that we go for it, pretty much. I used to box when I was younger, and I've done a bit of Brazillian Jiu Jitsu more recently, so I'm mostly *fake* *takedown* *submission*.
Recently, though, mr. Black belt in tae kwon do has gotten wise to the ground game. Mostly since I've been training him 😛 .

*tear* I'm only a blue belt. Though, I hope to advance to purple very soon. They say Blue - purple is the most difficult, so maybe after that I'll be seeing brown :-D.
One of my favorite things about BJJ is the grading system....it isn't like in other martial arts where you have to perfect X amount of Katas or some such....you just have to often, and consistently beat the other people that are of your belt. If you can romp on blue belts, you go to purple, if you are getting shit-kicked by purple, you stay blue. :-D
I really want to learn some muay thai for my leg work. Like I said, I did some boxing, and if we restict the sparring to stand-up only, I can outbox my tae kwon do friend all day long, but he says any time I throw a kick, I telegraph it so badly. Gahh.

ya I found out the hard way never fight tae kwon do black belt from a far lol.
