I've been keeping my eye's peeled for news on DP, I guess his solo comic is being launched out of the 'Secret Invasion' Story line their're running right now.
I was going to skip it, but if he's making a contribution, I might check it out. Anyway, they didn't give a date, but I assume his book'll start when they finish up with the secret invasion.

Umm...Ok.
Anyway, It's comic day! I picked up a couple new titles today. Cap'n Brit and MI 13. Pete's running the show so far, but the team's not fully assembled. They're starting off in the secret invasion, and I liked the first issue. The writer is the same guy who did Wisdom so if y'all liked that this'll probably run along those lines.
Gen Next could be interesting. It's set about a generation or two in the future with the grand kids and kids of some of the major players. We'll see how it all plays out, but it was a solid beginning. I think some of these characters have been introduced before, but I'm no sure if they're from the 616 future or an alternate future. This is just a short run, I think 5 issues...I'm not sure.
I also grabbed the first issue of New Universal. The art is really good, and the story could be interesting; it's nice and dark so far. One of the characters strikes me as familiar. I think the comes out of one of the alternate earths that the Exiles visited. Dude with a star-burst mark on his hand, can't control is weird powers. Does that sound familiar to anybody?
As for the Secret Invasion stuff, they're doinjg that evil, comic crossover thing where you have to buy a bunch of comics that you don't read, to get the whole story, and you always feel like there's stuff going on that isn't really explained because it assumes you've been following these characters and already care about them. That being said, the story is engaging so far, I'm about two or three issues into what is going to be a short run for the main titles (Avengers, Fantastic four, MI 13, XMen?, and Runaways/Young avengers...looks like it might be a book, like the civil war team up (Which was good if you like Runaways, I don't really follow young avengers)), and I think ...8? for the main Secret invasion story. Anyway, it's not bad if you're a compulsive collector, but I'm mostly in it to see what Deadpool has to do wtih the whole thing.
...I sound like a commercial...I'm not getting paid for this I swear. As a matter of fact it's costing me a fortune. L looks like I haven't just fallen of the wagon, but have upgraded to crack.
