Anakin or vader?

Why did Vader still reply to the name Anakin when Padme and Obi wan tried to reason with him?

because he knew that they were talking to him?

I thought he wouldn't answer to the name Anakin, he would only answer to vader. In ROTJ Vader that say's that the name Anakin no longer means anything to him.

Thats after his life (Padme and his unborn child[s]) are stripped away from him. He hates that part of his life after ROTS and wants to forget that he was ever Anakin Skywalker. It torments him. But in ROTS he's not fully evil, or fully Darth Vader yet thats why he responds to Anakin. He doesn't hate himself (Anakin) at this point. When she dies, he does.

Since although he at the time went by vader he still lived basicly his whole life before that going by anakin and was still very aware that some peaple refer to him as anakin still.

Also he replied to them since they knew they were speaking to him.

Because that's his name. Why did Count Dooku go by Dooku instead of Darth Tyranus?

Because anakin is Darth Vader and he was used to being called anakin so that is why he repiled to that. He wasn't used to being called Darth Vader i think
