Did you not read my post, I said that he would find him but not with “ease”. Yes Batman is the supreme detective and would eventually find him but Gambit has eluded so many people and out thought people as good or close to his level. Then to add in the skills of Wolverine, Kitty, Nightcrawler and Mystique he has a pretty large arsenal to avoid detection.

Batman could track them all down, they're running around on his turf. With Spiderman's knowledge of the X-Men, they could easily come up with contigency plans for each one of those guys.
