Colossus: Are you ok? I’ll buy you some time! (Runs and jumps out the hole. As he does he metals up and crashes with the sentinel. The camera is an over shot which zooms out to reveal five more sentinels around the mansion. Three more children come out of their rooms and Kitty joins from behind.)

Kitty: You need to get out! Do you remember the way?

X-kid: Yes.

Kitty: Tell everyone else! GO, now! (The children exit all accept Kitty, Jubilee and Siryn) Ok. These things are sentinels. They’re bastards to kill. Note their shape! These things are flexible, fast agile despite their size.

Jubilee: How do we bring them down?

Kitty: Aim for the head or their joints.

(Colossus is on the sentinels head but is thrown off. He crashes to the floor.)

Kitty: NO!

(Siryn produces a high pitch scream and flies out the mansion directly at the sentinel. Its head begins to crack. Jubilee and Kitty are holding their ears. The sentinel looks unstable. It loses balance and falls into the building. As it does Kitty grabs Jubilee and the sentinel and debris falls through them. Kitty gets them both outside where they end up near colossus. Siryn lands close by and exhausted. Magneto and Mystique have heard the events. They open their doors and see the x-kids running)

Mystique: Erik, I will help the kids you go and help the others! (Mystique picks up a child and runs with the rest of the children.)

I'm pretty sure that the sentinels are Magneeto's. *Quickly Checks* Oh... never mind...

Who's Strong Man?

X4: Evolution

Start with the history of SINISTER showing what happened to him.

GAMBIT as a child.

A view of the gravestones of JEAN, SCOTT, and the XAVIER. LOGAN stands before JEAN’s grave and sets a rose down for her. He turns and walks away.

KITTY and COLOSSUS are playing table tennis in one of the billiard rooms. COLOSSUS hits the ball a little too hard and it slams it BOBBY who is passing by with a bunch of roses.

COLOSSUS: Sorry, Bobby!

BOBBY turns the ball to ice and throws the ball back at him.

BOBBY: Who’s winning?

COLOSSUS: Kitty was.
COLOSSUS passes by BOBBY. KITTY notices the flowers.

KITTY: They’re beautiful.

BOBBY: Thanks.

KITTY: They for Rogue?

BOBBY: Yeah, I was just going to head over and—

LOGAN steps in.

LOGAN: Roses? You shouldn’t have.

BOBBY: Sorry, Logan. Not for you. (Heads out)

LOGAN: Don’t want to be late for another date. You know you missed two danger room sessions this week.

BOBBY: I’ll make them up, I promise!

BOBBY heads out. KITTY laughs.

LOGAN: What?

KITTY: You sound like Scott.

LOGAN: I will expel you if you ever say that again.

A bar late at night. ROGUE is working at the bar filling up glasses for the rowdy men. She’s dressed in a pair of shorts and a tank top. BOBBY walks in and surprises ROGUE.

BOBBY: Hey there.

ROGUE: Bobby, what are you doing here?

BOBBY: I wanted to surprise you.

BOBBY pulls out a dozen roses from behind his back. ROGUE gasps and takes them from him.

ROGUE: They’re beautiful. Thank you.

ROGUE kisses BOBBY on the lips. BOBBY takes a seat at the counter. ROGUE pours him a beer.

BOBBY: The kids at school have been asking about you.

ROGUE: What about?

BOBBY: They’re wondering when you’re coming back.

ROGUE: Bobby, I’m not a… (whispers) mutant anymore. The school is for mutants.

BOBBY: Storm would always welcome you back. We need teachers.

ROGUE: I have a job.

BOBBY: But if you were back at school we’d be able to spend more time together.

ROGUE: I know.

Cut to a mysterious old warehouse. MYSTIQUE, sits in a chair, as her normal human self. Across from her sits SINISTER. His face is hidden.

SINISTER: So has there been any progress?

MYSTIQUE: I was able to change twice yesterday. It’s getting much better.

SINISTER: I look forward to seeing you again as your former self.

MYSTIQUE: As do I.

SINISTER: When the time comes I’ll need you there to assist with the process.

MYSTIQUE: Anything as long as you keep up your end of the deal.

SINISTER: Of course.

SINISTER hands MYSTIQUE a sheet of paper. She looks over the paper.

MYSTIQUE: Xavier was always so concerned about his other students. He never paid much attention to this one. I think attention was all she ever needed.

LOGAN is downstairs in the infirmary. He stares out at one of the tables (where Jean lay before). STORM enters.

STORM: Logan, you have a class waiting for you.

LOGAN: I’m sorry. I was just thinking.

LOGAN passes by her.

STORM: Thinking about her.

The night passes. LOGAN is having a nightmare about killing JEAN. He wakes up shouting her name. The next morning, KITTY and BOBBY are watching TV together with some other students.

KITTY: Did you convince her to come back?

BOBBY: No. She says she doesn’t belong here since she isn’t a mutant anymore.

STORM enters from behind.

STORM: She’ll always belong.

NEWS REPORT- saying the cure is temporary.

STORM: Oh my God.

KITTY: It can’t be.

BOBBY: Rogue.

BOBBY gets up and heads for the door.

A shot of MAGNETO watching TV from inside his new home. He laughs. The TV is floating.

At the bar. GAMBIT steps inside. He steals a wallet out of a man’s pocket and secretly hides it inside his coat. In the corner MARROW (MARROW) sits drinking a beer. He glances at ROGUE for a moment and then makes his way over to MARROW.

GAMBIT: Sarah.

MARROW: I go by Marrow now.

GAMBIT: Sorry, my mistake. Marrow.

MARROW: That’s better. What have you got for me, chere?

GAMBIT: Mystique’s getting her powers back.

MARROW: I thought she was cured.

GAMBIT: Cure don’t work. Only temporary.

MARROW: Figures. Nothing works these days. So what are we supposed to do?

GAMBIT: Sinister has this island or something. He wants us to bring some mutants there for an experiment.

MARROW: Anyone in particular they want us to bring?

GAMBIT: I happen to have a list.

GAMBIT pulls out a folder from his jacket and hands it over to MARROW.

MARROW: There’s only four.

GAMBIT: That’s all he needs.

MARROW: Sounds easy enough. It says here that we’re also supposed to pick up some girl for Mystique. Nineteen year-old, Marie D'Ancanto. Has the ability to absorb the memories, abilities and physical characteristics of anyone with whom she comes into flesh-to-flesh contact. Sounds like the perfect woman for you, Remy.

GAMBIT: Yep, and she’s standing right over there.

GAMBIT points across the room at ROGUE who is pouring a drink for a customer.

MARROW: So, what are we supposed to do with her?

GAMBIT: Get her on the next train up north where our lady Mystique will meet her in disguise.

MARROW: So do it.

GAMBIT: Now, doesn’t look like the right time. Boyfriend’s here.

BOBBY walks in the bar.

ROGUE: Bobby, what are you doing here?

BOBBY: I have to talk to you, Rogue. It’s important.

ROGUE: Can’t it wait? I only have an hour left.

A news report flashes above on the TV set.

NEWS REPORTER: It has just been reported that several individuals who were fortunate enough to receive the mutant cure have mutated once again.

ROGUE looks at BOBBY.

ROGUE: It can’t be.

BOBBY: Everyone at school knows. Storm’s going nuts thinking Magneto’s going to start causing trouble again when his powers fully regenerate.

ROGUE: How much time do you think I have left?

BOBBY: I don’t know.

BOBBY places his hand on ROGUE’s. He leans in to kiss her.

Quick shot to XAVIOR, who is asleep in MOIRA’s laboratory, wakes up suddenly.

XAVIER: Don’t touch him.

Back to the bar. ROGUE’s powers return and she starts sucking BOBBY’S energy. BOBBY pulls away and falls over unconscious. Very similar to her first kiss. Several people scream. Catastrophe erupts.

MARROW: (to GAMBIT) Definitely the perfect woman for you.

Several people gather around BOBBY.

MAN: Somebody call 911!

WOMAN: (Points to ROGUE) She did it. She’s a mutant!

ROGUE: No, I’m not! I…I was cured.

MAN: Get her!

The MAN jumps over the bar and grabs ROGUE by her shirt and throws over the counter. She turns around and freezes him into the wall. The rest of the people step back in amazement. They all back away for a moment. ROGUE runs out of the bar in tears.

MARROW: Now’s the time. Come on.

GAMBIT and MARROW run after ROGUE. She’s heading down the street to her car.

GAMBIT: Hey, petite, hold on.

ROGUE: Get away from me!

GAMBIT: No, it’s okay. We’re mutants too. We come to help you.
From behind a bunch of people are beginning to gather outside. An ambulance siren is heard in this distance.

ROGUE: Bobby…

MARROW: Come with us. We’ll take you some place safe.

Shot to a hospital. BOBBY is in a coma. STORM stands beside him. LOGAN enters.

LOGAN: I came as soon as I heard. How is he?

STORM: Coma.

LOGAN: Damn. The first boy she ever kissed was in a coma for three weeks.

STORM: Bobby’s strong. He’ll pull through. We’re hoping to get him back to the mansion as soon as possible. The doctors here aren’t the friendliest people to mutants. I was I had Hank here, but unfortunately he’s out of the country doing work in Egypt.

LOGAN: Egypt?

STORM: He’s studying pyramids.

LOGAN: Great. Where’s Rogue?

STORM: We don’t know.

LOGAN: Did you check her apartment?

STORM: Kitty and Peter did earlier. Her closet was emptied. Warren has flown over the whole city looking for her. We can’t find her anywhere. And if her powers are coming back…who knows where she may go.

LOGAN: So, how do we find her?

STORM: We always used cerebro in the past.

LOGAN: Well, we don’t have that option anymore.

STORM: Then, what do you propose? Dig up Jean and ask her?

LOGAN turns away. STORM realizes she’s upset him.

STORM: I’m sorry. I don’t know why I said that.

LOGAN: It’s fine. I’ll look for her myself.
STORM: She could be anywhere.

LOGAN: Or she could be trying to runaway again.

LOGAN gets an idea in mind.

The train station. GAMBIT, MARROW, and ROGUE are waiting for their train to arrive. ROGUE is sandwiched between them hugging her suitcase. GAMBIT is playing with a deck of cards. MARROW is asleep.

ROGUE: Is that your power? Shuffling cards?

GAMBIT: Gambit can do more then that.

ROGUE: I thought you said your name was Remy.

GAMBIT: Some folks call me that. That’s my real name, but I prefer Gambit. This here is Sarah, but folks call her Marrow.

ROGUE: Marrow? Nice. Is her power sleeping?

GAMBIT: You a funny gal, chere.

Their train arrives. GAMBIT taps MARROW. She wakes. They stand.

GAMBIT: We take you to our friend. She’ll help you out. She’s a human, but she’s helped mutants before. She’ll be waiting for us.

ROGUE: I could always go back to school. I used to go to a private school just for mutants, but after what I did to Bobby…

GAMBIT: Now don’t you fret. Wasn’t your fault.

ROGUE: I still feel him inside of me. That coldness. The ice. The memories. It didn’t use to be this strong. I feel so out of control.

GAMBIT: Our friend will help you, chere.

ROGUE looks into his eyes and smiles. They step in to the train.

STORM and LOGAN arrive.

LOGAN: Look familiar?

STORM: I’ll check the ticket booth.

LOGAN: Don’t bother. (He sniffs the air) She’s close.

GAMBIT, MARROW, and ROGUE are in the train now. LOGAN and STORM step in. LOGAN sees ROGUE and heads right to her.

STORM: Logan, wait!

LOGAN ignores her and heads towards ROGUE.

ROGUE: Logan?

LOGAN: You can’t keep running, kid.

ROGUE: I can do whatever I like, Logan. And I’m not a kid anymore.

LOGAN: Rogue, you don’t even know these people.

GAMBIT takes out a deck of cards.

GAMBIT: Why don’t you leave the little gal alone?

LOGAN: I’m not leaving her with you.

GAMBIT: Tell you what. Let’s play a little game. You pick a card. I pick a card. Whoever gets the highest one gets Rogue.

STORM: Logan, we don’t have time for games.

MARROW: We don’t have time for you.

MARROW takes off her jacket. She grows bones from out of her back. People on the train scream and run away. LOGAN takes a card from GAMBIT. It sparks up.

LOGAN: Shit.

LOGAN gets blown out of the train.

STORM: Logan!

MARROW throws the bones at STORM. STORM dashes out of the train in the nick of time. MARROW chases after her.

MARROW follows STORM. GAMBIT follows LOGAN who is quickly recovering.

GAMBIT: Hey, murname!

LOGAN turns around. GAMBIT charges up a card and throws it at LOGAN. LOGAN is knocked across the room. GAMBIT charges up another card and proceeds to throw it, but LOGAN slashes the card with his claws before it can explode.

Meanwhile, STORM and MARROW are in an intense battle. They finally meet at a stand off.

STORM: It’s nice to see you again too, Sarah.

MARROW: The name’s Marrow.

STORM: You’ve grown up.

MARROW: You’re old.

STORM: What do you want with Rogue?

MARROW: We’re bringing her to an old friend of yours.

STORM: Magneto?

MARROW: Wrong. Guess again.

They fight again. MARROW manages to hit STORM. She falls off the balcony and lands on top of GAMBIT, knocking him unconscious. LOGAN, who just got knocked over again, stands up and walks over.

LOGAN: Bout time you shut that gumbo up.

STORM: Logan, the train!

The train begins to leave. ROGUE looks out the window at them.

LOGAN and STORM in the car. LOGAN is driving very fast as usual.

LOGAN: Who were those people and what did they want with Rogue?

STORM: One of them, the young woman, I knew her a long time ago when she was just a kid. Her real name is Sarah, but she goes by Marrow. The other one…I’ve never seen him before. He sounded Cajun.

LOGAN: But, what do they want with Rogue?

STORM: I don’t know. Something tells me Magneto is behind this.

LOGAN: It’s possible, but Magneto isn’t the only bad guy out there.
STORM’s phone rings.

STORM: It’s Moira.

LOGAN: Moira?

STORM: (Answers the phone) Moira? Hi, how are you?

A shot of MOIRA standing over XAVIER’S body.

MOIRA: Well, I don’t know where to start. You see I’m standing over what looks to be one of my brain dead patients, but the voice that is now speaking to me is Charles.

STORM: It sounds like Charles?

MOIRA: No, Ororo, it is Charles.

STORM is shocked.

STORM: We’ll be there right away.

STORM hangs up the phone. She is overcome.

LOGAN: What is it?

STORM: We have to go to Muir Island right now.

Quick cut to ROGUE getting off the train in Ohio. She looks around the station. She takes a seat on one of the benches and waits.

MOIRA’s home on Muir Island. She is leading STORM and LOGAN to XAVIER.

MORIA: At first he only took over the psyche, but in the last few hours he’s recomposed the entire body to look exactly like his former self.

They enter the room. XAVIER is resting in bed. STORM enters in tears and runs to hug him. LOGAN follows behind.

STORM: Is it really you?

XAVIER: Yes, it’s me, my dear. I’m so happy to see you. Both of you.

He looks at LOGAN and smiles.

STORM: But, how is it possible?

XAVIER: The mind is capable of many things. Though Jean destroyed my body, my mind stayed alive. It has taken me a long time to rebuild myself.

LOGAN: If someone with your abilities can do that, do you think it’s possible for someone like…

XAVIER: Jean? I think it’s very possible. In fact someone has already made the first step towards helping her with that. The same for our friend, Scott.

STORM: Scott? What do you mean?

XAVIER: I’ll need to return to the mansion first before I am able to fully explain myself.

SINISTER is in his secret laboratory. Standing next to him is his assistant, EMMA FROST. There are two bodies, one female, one male, lying on tables with several wires attached to the head. The bodies appear lifeless. EMMA is uses her powers to try and locate the minds of JEAN and SCOTT.

EMMA FROST: This isn’t going to work.

SINISTER: Don’t tell me that.

EMMA FROST: I can’t find them.

SINISTER: Emma, don’t do this to me. After all my work!

EMMA FROST: I’m sorry. I’m trying as hard as I can.

SINISTER: Try harder.

The computer beeps.

COMPUTER: Visitors approaching gate. Authorization complete.

A screen lights up showing GAMBIT and MARROW with four mutants behind them (Ms. Marvel, Sunfire, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver).

SINISTER: Excellent. We have our specimens.

EMMA FROST: Sinister! I know what I need to find them! I need Cerebro.

At the mansion. The XAVIER is in the subbasement heading towards Cerebro with LOGAN and STORM. KITTY, COLOSSUS, and ANGEL step out of the danger room and sees him.

KITTY: Professor?

XAVIER: Hello, my friends.

KITTY: How is it possible? You’re alive!

XAVIER: The mind doesn’t quit that easily.

KITTY runs to hug him. XAVIER takes a glance at ANGEL.

XAVIER: I see we have some new pupils. You’ve done well in my absence, Storm.

ANGEL: Warren Worthington, sir. It’s a pleasure to meet you.

XAVIER: The pleasures all mine. And where’s Bobby and Rogue?

Everyone looks at one another not knowing what to say, but XAVIER already knows what’s going on.

XAVIER: Bring me to him.

BOBBY is lying in the medical room, still unconscious. STORM and LOGAN follow him in. The others return to the danger room. The XAVIER proceeds to read BOBBY’s mind. The XAVIER sees the bar scene all over again and gets a glance at GAMBIT and MARROW.

LOGAN: Anything?

XAVIER: I’m afraid Bobby isn’t going to be able to give me all the information I’m looking for. I’ll need cerebro instead.

A message alert pops up showing a EMMA FROST outside the mansion front gate.

LOGAN: Who’s the Barbie doll?

STORM: Oh great. Just what we need.

XAVIER gives the permission for the gates to be opened.

LOGAN: Who is she?

XAVIER: A former pupil of mine. Emma Frost, also known as the White Queen. Her powers are similar to mine, but limited. A few years ago she manifested a secondary mutation that turns her skin into organic diamond.

LOGAN: Why’d she leave the school?

STORM: You can ask her that yourself. She’ll give you plenty of reasons.

XAVIER: I hope you two will make our guest feel welcome. I’ll be up momentarily. I need to use cerebro first.

EMMA FROST is waiting in XAVIER’S office. STORM and LOGAN enter. EMMA doesn’t have to turn around to know who it is.

EMMA: Ororo Monroe.

STORM: Emma.

EMMA: And you must be Logan? Well, Xavier sure knows how to pick his students.

LOGAN: He sure does.

STORM: What do you want, Emma?

EMMA: I need to borrow cerebro.

STORM: May I ask why?

EMMA: You know I don’t like to share my personal life, but if you insist I need to locate a couple of old friends.

STORM: Who?

EMMA: No one important.

STORM: Well, I’m sorry, but the Professor is using cerebro right now.

EMMA: The Professor? I thought he—

XAVIER is in the midst of cerebro. He’s trying to locate ROGUE, but repeated echoes of JEAN keeping blocking his path.

JEAN: Professor, help us!

XAVIER: Jean?

JEAN: Scott and I…we need you.

XAVIER: Jean!

Back to EMMA.

EMMA: He’s alive? Oh, that does present a problem.

LOGAN: What do you mean?

EMMA: Nothing.

STORM: There’s something you’re not telling us, Emma.

The sounds of an explosion are heard from downstairs. EMMA, LOGAN, and STORM make their way downstairs. KITTY, COLOSSUS, and ANGEL are helping XAVIER out of cerebro. The whole room has been destroyed. COLOSSUS carries XAVIER out.

STORM: What happened?

XAVIER: I was trying to locate Rogue, but Jean she…she kept calling for me.

LOGAN: Jean?

XAVIER: Her psyche is still strong. And she’s keeping Scott’s psyche alive as well. Isn’t that right, Emma?

Everyone turns and stares at EMMA.

EMMA: Well, I guess since cerebro has been smashed to pieces I won’t be needed any longer.

EMMA starts to leave. KITTY phases through her and turns around and faces her. LOGAN grabs EMMA’S arm.

LOGAN: Sorry, Barbie.

XAVIER: Let go of her, Logan.

LOGAN releases his grip.

XAVIER: Emma, it’s been a long time.

EMMA: Yes, a long time.

XAVIER: We have a lot of catching up to do.

Back to Ohio. ROGUE has fallen asleep on the bench. MYSTIQUE appears to ROGUE as her normal, human self. She touches her on the shoulder and ROGUE wakes up.

MYSTIQUE: You must be Rogue.

ROGUE: Yes.

MYSTIQUE: Did you come alone?

ROGUE: They were supposed to come with me, Remy and Marrow, but there…there was a fight.

MYSTIQUE: That’s alright, dear.

ROGUE: They said that you could help me.

MYSTIQUE: Yes, I can, but first let’s get you something to eat.

Back to the mansion. EMMA is sitting in a chair facing the whole X-Men team: XAVIER, STORM, LOGAN, KITTY, COLOSSUS, and ANGEL.

STORM: So, you’re saying this Sinister guy is planning on resurrecting Jean and Scott?

EMMA: For all we know, he may have already succeeded. He was using me to try and locate their psyche telepathically, but I think after what happened to cerebro its clear that Sinister has found them himself.

STORM: Does this Sinister guy possess any psychic abilities?

XAVIER: No, Storm, but he’s a brilliant scientist. Mad to an extent.

EMMA: He has a machine. He built it himself. He’s using it to help Jean and Scott find their way to new bodies. Sinister has the bodies lying out for them. They’re heading straight for a trap.

LOGAN: When Jean wakes up she’ll tear him to pieces.

EMMA: No she won’t. Sinister has devices that suppress mutant powers. Even someone as powerful as Jean won’t be able to fight it off.

STORM: Why does he need Jean and Scott?

EMMA: He wants their mutant powers, along with four other mutants he already has in possession.

STORM: Is Sinister going to use this machine to do that?

EMMA: No, Sinister needed something, or someone more directly capable of taking powers.

LOGAN: Rogue.

EMMA: The other mutants, the Cajun and (to STORM) your old friend, Sarah, were ordered to bring her to Mystique.

LOGAN: Mystique?
EMMA: She’s going to train her, get her ready for the main event.

KITTY: Main event?

STORM: Oh God. She’s going to—

EMMA: And once she’s through taking all six of the mutant’s powers Sinister is going to take them all from her through one transformation. If she survives the process the deal was Mystique could have her back.

LOGAN: Jesus.

EMMA: I’ve seen the machine and I know what Sinister is capable of.

LOGAN: And you were helping him?

EMMA: I had no choice.

XAVIER: There’s no point in arguing now. We’ll leave immediately for the island. Storm, find Emma her old uniform.

STORM: She’s coming with us?

XAVIER: Yes. I was thinking you two needed to do some catching up.

STORM: Very funny, Professor.

Back to ROGUE and MYSTIQUE. They’re inside a gymnasium of some sort. MYSTIQUE has with her a few other mutants, DAZZLER and AVALANCHE.

ROGUE: Are you sure this is okay?

MYSTIQUE: They never taught you this back at school?

ROGUE: Not really. I was always afraid.

MYSTIQUE: You don’t need to be afraid anymore, Rogue. This is what you were destined to do. You’re very special. You can have any power you want.

ROGUE: I never thought if it that way. I always thought of it more as a curse.

MYSTIQUE: Only if you let it be. Now, go ahead.

ROGUE reaches her hands and touches DAZZLER’S face. She uses the powers and shoots light across the room.

ROGUE: Are you okay?

MYSTIQUE: She’ll be fine. How do you feel, Rogue?

ROGUE: I’m seeing a lot of things in my head, but I’m okay.

MYSTIQUE: Good. Try this one.

ROGUE touches AVALANCHE. She causes the ground to shake.

ROGUE: Wow.

MYSTIQUE: Just think what you could do if you got your hands on the right person.

GAMBIT and MARROW enter.

MYSTIQUE: Remy, how nice to see you. Bought time you two showed up.

GAMBIT: Well, we had other business to address first. How’s petite doing?

MYSTIQUE: Spectacular.

GAMBIT: So, chere, you wanna give it a go on me?

ROGUE: It’s going to hurt.

GAMBIT: I promise not to cry.

ROGUE touches GAMBIT on the lips. Then, she grabs a card out of his pocket and throws it across the room.

GAMBIT: Nice, chere. Very nice. We should try it again sometime, but first! Gambit has a plane outside waiting for you.

ROGUE: For me?

MYSTIQUE: Already? He wants us now?

ROGUE: Who wants us?

MYSTIQUE: Oh, just an old friend who wants to meet you. A very special friend.

Back to the subbasement of the mansion. KITTY is dressing into her uniform. She watches EMMA dress, but EMMA isn’t putting on quiet the same outfit. It’s white, and shows off her mid drift.

EMMA: It still fits.

STORM walks in and rolls her eyes at EMMA.

KITTY: I want a new uniform.

STORM: Oh, don’t you start.

STORM heads out the door.

EMMA: Don’t worry kid. I have another one tucked away somewhere. It’s all yours.

KITTY: Thanks.

KITTY heads out the door. BOBBY is stumbling through the hallway.

KITTY: Bobby! You’re awake!

BOBBY: I want…I want to come.

KITTY: No, Bobby, you’re not well. Come on, let’s get you back to bed. Pete!

COLOSSUS comes rushing over. He helps to pick up BOBBY.

BOBBY: Rogue, is she alright?

KITTY: Everything’s going to be just fine. We’ll be back in no time. Pete, get him back into bed.

KITTY is preparing the jet. STORM is seated next to her. LOGAN and EMMA are seated next to each other behind them, and COLOSSUS and ANGEL are in the seats behind them.

STORM: Careful, Kitty.

KITTY: I could do this in my sleep by now.

STORM: Slowly, don’t rush.

EMMA: (Mimicking her) Slowly, don’t rush.

STORM shakes her head. LOGAN looks over at EMMA.
LOGAN: Nice outfit.

EMMA: You should see what I wear in the summer.

Archaeologist #1: Any progress?

(Two archaeologists are around a sarcophagus.)

Archaeologist #2: Nearly sir, we’re just trying to break this last seal…… Are you sure about this sir…I mean, you saw the hieroglyphs.

Archaeologist #1: pay you to work not think Dr.

(The seal can be heard breaking)

Archaeologist #3: SIR…were in!

(The front of the sarcophagus falls to the floor. The sound of the impact echoes through the warehouse.)

Archaeologist #1: (the camera is on his face) Yes… (Laughs) This is it.

(The camera pans around to show the sarcophagus. Through the dust a deep exhale can be heard coming from within. Then in a deep voice along with the sound of two footsteps)

Apocalypse: FREEDOM! (As the dust settles a large figure can be seen. As he becomes visible his features are seen. His skin has a murky colour. He is wearing a suit that appears to be of metallic origin. This is a dark blue and covers his torso. His arms are visible. They have pipes protruding out of them and they enter into the base of his spine. Both arms appear to have artificial implants in, however this may be due to his mutation. The hole of his eyes are black. At the site of him archaeologist #2 and #3 try to escape.) No! (He picks up the lid of the sarcophagus and hurtles it towards them. It crushes them to the floor. Archaeologist #1 is kneeling on the floor.) Hmm…You are loyal…(Apocalypse rips his head off. He walks outside, rolls back his shoulders and pushes out his chest. He looks to the sky and opens his mouth. He exhales a thick black smoke and shuts his mouth. Suddenly the sky is littered with a thick black layer. He laughs)

Hmmmm, good idea to introduce apocalypse Cain, but it may be a little rushed...

But then again, there may be no otehr way, and you're the expert so thumbs up! 😄

(Scene cuts to Lotham City. Rogue steps down out of a truck)

Rogue: Thanks

(Rogue enters and takes a seat at the bar.)

Rogue: A water please

(A poker game can be heard in the background. Mummers are heard for a while.)

Drunk #1: God Dang I fold

Drunk #2: Hey you got some sorta cheating going on here Cajun?

(Rogue turns round only to see a man’s feet up on the table/ the rest of him is submerged in darkness. His eyes can be seen glowing slightly. All attention is focused on him)

Remy: Who me? (The sound of a card being flipped is heard) Sorry fellers but I’ma feeling I’ve outstayed ma welcome (he takes the money from the table and runs to the door. He notices the tip jar on the bar) To rogue Hey mon cher hows bout a kiss f’Gambit? (As he leans in, he swipes the jar and kisses her on the lips. Slightly fazed he runs out the door. Smirking Rogue follows him)

Rogue: Hey! Hey…erm… Gambit is it?

Remy: Why mon cher you back f’more?

Barmen: There he is (three large men with various weapons progress towards Gambit and Rogue)

Remy: Time we be departing, no? (He produces two playing cards then winks at Rogue. They begin to glow)

Man #1: He’s a mutie!!

Remy: Now, dat not fair! (he throws the cards towards them and they explode on the ground sending the men flying. When all the smoke settles Rogue and gambit are gone. Hid behind a truck sat on the ground is Rogue and Gambit)

Remy: I’m Remy LeBeau, master tieth, but call me Gambit cher.

Rogue: I’m Rogue.

Remy: Such a perty name. You special too?

Rogue: Cursed more like

Remy: Nah, don’t speaking so sad, show us what y’can do.

Rogue: I can kill you by touching you. But recently I’ve been able to do other stuff, I think… I think I can fly…

(The scene changes. The screen is dark)

Scientist #1: How’s the subject?

Scientist #2: He is still unconscious…we had to sedate him.(The screen is as if it is looking through someone’s eyes. They repeatedly open and shut and are not in focus) He’s healed remarkably since his capture.

Scientist #1: So quick?! He would be a very valuable soldier. Hows the first subject? Has the memory reconstruction worked?

Scientist #2: Yes. As for as he knows he has never worked for the Russians and has always been a soldier for us.

Scientist #1: And the implants?

Scientist #2: The coils? Muscle has built up around them and they’re ready for testing.

Scientist #1: Good…Good.
