Reed and the cosmic bunny thing is so debatable that is is laughable, the Phoenix being a formless mutable force and all, suggests that the bunny was nothing more than how Reed perceived the Phoenix.
Since the Bunny was brought up I find it strange that people will say Reed created the universe before he was born, but that Jean could not have given the Phoenix it's shape before she was born. Jean is an omega level mutant who is connected to a force that exists simultaneously throughout all space and time, and Reed is some guy who got radiated by a cosmic storm, yet people believe he can create a paradox, but Jean can't.
There is nothing debatable about the power of the Phoenix, we have seen the Phoenix "heal wounded universes" we have seen the Phoenix operate from the center of creation, we have seen the Phoenix protect all creation by fixing M'Kraan, we have seen the Phoenix take a nexus point and project it throughout the multiverse to form a focal point from which Roma and the Cap. Britain corps operate. A mysterious supreme force compelled Thanos to use the HOTU to repair the universe, that is even reminiscent of the Phoenix.

BTW, as cool as the HOTU was, it's not relevant to 616. Marvel editor Andy Schmidt verified that 'The End' was NOT canon. So it really shouldn't even be brought up in discussions.
The Shi'ar presence in Endsong was silly to me anyway, they needed something to bring the Phoenix back, so they used the race of aliens who have had the most interaction with it. Marvel has stated that the more advanced alien races have access to technology that can tap and utilize comic energy. What I don't get is, if the Phoenix was in the White hot room, what did they fire the weapon at anyway. This isn't the first time mortals have caused the Phoenix pain and anguish, Necrom did when he stole a piece of her from Feron in the Phoenix flashback. The part of Phoenix that needed to survive and get a host was a remnant of Jean, and from her/it's actions it was the part of Jean that became Dark Phoenix, the insane highly emotional part that craved the sensations it got from being in the physical world.
