Palpatine's final tirade of blasting everyone with Force lightning had weakened him enough that Luke planned on bringing him into custody. Han, though - I suppose - was pissed at his wife being electrocuted and that the Emperor was trying to possess his son.

I suppose that it's an okay death. Certainly unexpected.

Anyways, I'm going to say that Krayt would lose to Sidious in a battle of the Force and probably in a battle of lightsabers. Krayt is a newbie Sith, self-trained, and while he appears to be powerful and so on, I don't think he'll present the same threat that Sidious was.

kraeyt was born before the execution of order 66 spending time in sith temples and reamerging to fight lords Vader and sidious only to find out they had already been dealt with. Feeling purposeless he ventured into the unknowns being captured by the vong and implanted with vong coral seeds which would slowly continue to grow and destroy him presumably in stasis during the time of jacen since he lived to be around 150 years old. Ima go back and establish a stronger base although I haven't read about him in a while, born as asharred hett he would go on to train in the ways of the Jedi a while before order 66. His preferred lightsaber form was Niman and arguably was the best niman specialist ever.theres a lot more but that's a very very very small summary with none of his feats.

Lucas never stated Palpatine was the strongest (that's a myth), but a lot of other sources do including those who worked alongside Lucas.

Palpatine's definitely better than Krayt.
