Besides, you just comparedone of Tekken's top guns to Maxi... who only ranks around the middle of the Soul Series... thats not a very fair comparative.
Try Maxi vs Law, or Li Long vs Law... or Rock vs Kuma... there are many fun comparatives... it just so happens that the Soul Series posesses a slightly more powerful top tier than Tekken does...

How is Law going to beat Maxi eh? I just gave you a feat, a damn good one too. The only real impressive feats done in Tekken are the Mishimas and the bosses... outside of that, few others have done anything worthy of note.

-she could also kick people several feeet in the air
-Asuka hit Jin so hard he went sliding like 20 feet away, hit a rock that turned to dust on impact...and she's only 17 and still a relative rookie.
-Xiao could take on people armed with guns and defeat them
-Xiao can do a reverse kick and send a person flying several feet in the air...at the age of 16
-Hwoarang could take on fully armed men and smack them like there was no tomorrow
-hwoaragn was able to kick a harley davidson bike at Jin

bryan got those when he was human, dark. besides bryan tears the top of a tank and tosses it like 50feet away for fun and laughs afterwards....and after all that he's just a higher-mid tier of the series.no, emperor is right...she jumped clean offf it. watch it again. there was the other time where she demonstrated her leg power was when she jumped off a highbuilding and was able to push herself off the side of a wall without any effort at all when she rescued the kitten.
Astaroth does with a hugeass axe....Paul does it with his barehands and with a move that is not his strongest one.
Kazuya, Jin and Hachi aren't exactly bosses. they are the regular cast only high tiers.

To be honest, I don't think the Soul Series has had a hero character... every game someone else has ended up as the hero...
As for the difference in power by the normal charactersof the two game saries, I think it'soffset by the sheer power of SC Boss characters... even the low end bosses have better capabilities... Zasalamel for example is eternal. Olcadan had enough power to challenge the olympian gods... Nightmare indeed affected the entire planet with only half a Soul Edge when he activated the Evil Seed.

and besides it is not only kicking that ship into air. That dude performs feats that no human can do. He is able to stand against the pressure miles under water. he don't need to breath anymore!!
