I was under the impression that the reason they are banned is that are just a little too easy to be modified by people. There really isn't a whole lot stopping someone from adding in certain "facts" into the bio that might help them and then claim wiki as an authoritative source in a match.

So if any GLC member says a character is banned, then he's banned! right?

Something like that. The currently banned characters are all obvious though.

Would someone like Jericho be allowed?

I agree with no mind control simply because it'll degenerate into people wasting precious posts on "yes he can take over your guy's mind" "nuh uh!" "Yeah huh!" and so on. Possession, though... might make for some interesting strategies.

Teleporting's fine, but not as battlefield removal....it's a bit cheap, and usually isn't used that way anyway.

A. In past tourney's we've had 20+ page fights with only 2 people fighting. It was a nightmare to read and judge. And I've seen individual posts that are small novels. Make those 9 count, and that's all you'll need. And multiply 9 x 4 and you have 36....almost two full pages of long posts. That will be plenty of time to make multiple points and determine a winner. 😉

B. Did you see the last herald tourney? It was a mess with this stuff. I'm just trying to make it fair for as many people as possible. Anyone involved with any of the past tourneys will likely agree with me.

Besides, he might not be completely gone (just like smashing Deadpool to a pulp doesn't kill him) but for the purposes of the match it would still count as a win.

Sign-ups are on Sunday. 1st round of the drafts will be determined by how quickly we get 8 teams. But once sign-ups are done I'll make another annoucement for the start of drafts.

And we'll still only need 2 rounds, but finding 32 people (8x4) might be a stretch for a lot of people, so less is probably more in this case. 3-vs-3 is plenty for a good match though.

I resent that....even though he is banned for being unkillable in a physical sense, he took on and froze the freakin stranger....and him being smashed to bits? it took him a few seconds to come back last time it happened, and he can fight from that form...

Yep, if I remember correctly back in high school a team only got two rounds of debating (with only a certain amount of time to do these in) and the ability to ask a few questions after the other team made their two speaches. Keep in mind that with a 10,000 word limit for each post, I'd think that each team will get to say all they want and then some.
