I haven't really entered that world, where my friends need my aid when they get hammered. Most of my friends think that's silly, as do I, the whole 'party' scene.

But in the event that my friends do get plastered, I try to help that out as much as possible.

I don't drink and never intend to. I've personally seen it destroy people. I have enough things to worry about so don't need to invite more by willingly pouring something potentially lethal into my system. 😬

When my husband and I were still together and he was in the Army... we used to have the other PVT's CPL's over on the weekends and they would bring food and drink and Nintendo and Playstation.... so you get the idea there.... just a place they can chill will us... we had our own apartment. They lived in the barracks... I didnt mind and in fact enjoyed having the guys over. I had one rule though.... If you plan on drinking... I get the keys and they belong to me until morning or you are sober. Everyone was cool with it....except this one time....

this PVT came over...knew the rule... my husband told him upfront and he handed them to me so they went with the rest of the keys... away where only I knew of them. He got wasted, could barely walk and was in no way sober enough to drive. He asked me for his keys... begged... got mad at me. He went to my husband thinking he would tell on me and I would be made to give them back to him.... My husband told him then.... 'No, you were told... she has your keys and you dont get them until morning. Period.'.... he whines and wanted to go home so badly.... so we gave him a bike to ride the 3 miles back to the barracks...so he left on bike....

the military police still pulled him and gave him a ticket for being drunk and swerving on the bike.
