He did something similar in HoM.Colossus being organic protects him from Gambit but he'd be susceptible to Elixir. But Elixir would still need to get close enough to do any harm.

A raging Colossus? He'd take out most of the team. He's not just a lumbering powerhouse that a lot of people think he is. He's actually quite the smart, tactical fighter.
The only ones able to stop him are Iceman and Storm I suppose, only through ice-incapacitation.
