M - Mufflatio - A spell found in the Half-Blood Prince's Potions Book that "muffles" the sound of the caster's conversation to the people around them.

O - Oppungo - A spell that Hermione uses in her six year, to make her Charmed canaries attack Ron.

S - Sectumsempra - A spell found in the Half-Blood Prince's potions book, marked "for enemies." Not fully knowing what it does, Harry uses it on Draco Malfoy in his sixth year. The spell causes rips and cuts to appear on the intended victim's body, which contributes to massive blood loss.

T- Tarantallegra

U - Umbridge, Dolores. - In Harry's fifth year, the woman who became the Defense of the Dark Arts. professor. Extremely prejudiced and a stickler for the rules, she tortures Harry and undermines several of Dumbledore's [and other teacher's] good plans. She also has an obsession with cats, and the color pink.

V- Veritaserum

W - Wingardium Leviosa - THe first Charm that Harry's year learns, a Charm to levitate small objects.

X- Xenophilius Lovegood
