You think "emo" is about cutting yourself and being depressed, then you call those who do so "emos".
You have no idea what emo was/is, so speaking on it probably isn't the best course of action for you. Just another boy raised by the MySpace generation into believing a fake, falsified label that doesn't exist now and hasn't existed for decades.

I don't know what "emo" used to mean in the past, but if you go to any high school I'm sure that somewhere you find a group of angsty looking teens who call themselves emos, have telltale marks on their arms and do nothing, but moan about how life sucks. I see it all the time.
Yes, but those aren't called emos, they're called trendwhores.
Nothing to do with emo, at all.

No, don't assume. Emo has been dead for decades, it doesn't exist today. MySpace kids call certain styles and certain genres emo because they're idiots.
End, not further do we need to go. It doesn't matter what the media says is emo, because it's not.
EDIT: I love the way you posted, went to Google "Emo" and then edited your post. I know this because you don't know what emo means, and you didn't until you just googled it. If you did, you'd not say stupid, ignorant things like "Emo is about cutting and moaning."

I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but today in modern day the term "emo" has been mutated to describe a depressed and generally angsty person. Whether or not the term's original use intended otherwise.

Yes, mutated by MySpace kids who know nothing (and use Wikipedia to find out what things mean), and anyone with any musical intellect and/or knowledge will tell you the same. That's fact, cold, hard fact. That's not what emo means, it's what kids think it means. You being one such kid.
With that said, you can stop the bs in Rex's thread, and so shall I.
If you reply, I'll PM you.
